Our family (two kids ages 6 and 9) really enjoyed the chocolate tour (we stayed at Lapamar Lodge and only came for the chocolate tour). Juan Luis was our guide and he spoke excellent English. The tour is more than chocolate - it is also about organic farming practices, medicinal plants, other fruits (starfruit, oranges...which are green...) as well as...

It's a very nicely landscaped farm. But it's fairly isolated from primary forest so I suspect not a lot of opportunity for intense wildlife viewing, which is the reason I go to the Osa. The staff were wonderful and the dinner was good enough. However breakfast disappointing. Toast and fruit and coffee. How about yoghurt, or eggs? No internet! Comfortable...

This place is in an out of they way location and when we arrived, we found out the owner and chocolate maker was away. He had promised to help us set up other tours but the staff there said they couldn't help. There was also NO wifi and they knew it ahead of time so should stop putting it on...

We enjoyed a lovely tour this morning with Jean Luis - he was an engaging, informative & entertaining guide who showed our small group of four lots of tropical fruits that we'd not seen before (lots to taste test!) and demonstrated the cacao production process. At the end of the tour there is a chance to enjoy some more fruit...

While touring this charming chocolate farm, we were also treated to a taste of the various fruits grown on the property right from the tree! At the conclusion of our tour, we sampled more fruit with chocolate sauce from the farm. This was a very educational tour, with a very knowledgable guide. I just wished you could by more of...

We checked in at night after a long day of driving and were very excited. If you love the rainforest and being outdoors, this is for you! The room seemed nice, but unfortunately it didn't live up to its online appeal. There were a lot of bugs in our room: baby toads, (which are fine) but also these long black...

We are sorry, that Finca Kobo was not "your" place. But I would like to response to your feedback. You arrived at 7:30 pm, without information about us- you were surprised that we offer chocolate tours, nightwalks and hikes for free in our beautiful secundary and primary rainforest. Its true that we had problems with wifi on your arrival day,...

The hotel is located 10 minutes away by car from Puerto Jimenez. The gardens surrounding the quiet rooms are absolutely beautiful. The rooms are comfortable, so is the big bathroom. Every room is very quiet and has a terrace. The food served at the restaurant is delicious and cheap. Last but not least, the owners and the staff are fantastic...

We did not stay at the hotel, but this seems to be the only place to review the tour that the farm offers in conjunction with the hotel. The two hour tour covers cocoa production and processing as mentioned in other reviews, but also includes many other tropical fruits and crops. We had six people in our tour which was...

As a boutique tour company that travels all over the world, we are always looking for wonderful, authentic tours that connect with our travelers, well Finka Kobo is just that type of experience. The walk through the gardens, tasting and learning is worth the trip even if your not interested in chocolate production. If you are a chocolate lover, well...

This tour was waaay better than we were expecting. We went expecting to learn about chocolate and the chocolate production process and we got a crash course in Costa Rican agriculture and the global importance of preserving heritage species of indigenous fruits and flowers. Alex, the main guide on our tour, was a fountain of both knowledge and passion on...
