Robinson bungalows is a lovely guest house on sunset beach, Ko Rong Samloem island. The staff were friendly and the restaurant offered a good menu given it's on an island - with a very reasonable happy hour 4-7. We stayed in the most basic of bungalows and it was fine other than, as you'd expect being on an island, there...

We stayed in a teepee for one night and really enjoyed our stay. The beach is amazing and not very busy. The only complaint would be that we were given the teepee next to the restaurant area, away from the beach, which meant no views and quite a lot of know noise at night. Would definitely stay again thanks!

We had the two story bungalow with electric lights and a private bathroom. It was mostly ok and as clean as you can expect this type of very basic cottage/bungalow accommodation to be. The second floor is where the bed is and it felt pretty cramped since the ceiling is very low. It also gets very hot up there during...

After the hike through the jungle we were welcomed with a cold drink and friendly staff. The location is beautiful, much quieter than the other side of the island. Clear blue sea in front of you, a clean beach and the jungle behind you. At night, if youre lucky you can see the bioliminescent plankton here too. The bungalow was...

Already longing to return! The location, staff and food were exceptional and to have no internet and mod-cons was bliss. We would highly recommend going to Coconut Bungalows on Koh Rong first, then taking a boat directly to Sunset Beach for $50US then walking across the Island to return by Sea Buva to Sihanoukville. We did it in reverse but...

We arrived at Saracen Bay and were very glad to be packing light for the jungle trek to sunset beach! People do do it with big packs and flip flops, etc. But it's non trivial. You need to be a bit fit. We avoided doing it in the rain or the dark - but again, others managed it. Well, at...

Stayed in the Bungalow with partial sea view. They are expanding at the moment, so we could see the effort and pure exertion that goes into building a bungalow. (Carting about 40, 50kg plus bags of bricks hundreds of metres up soft sand from the beach drop off point was just the tip of the iceberg!) The Bungalow has a...

If you're looking to get away from all aspects of civilisation including wifi, obnoxious tourists and loud bars, this place is perfect. Be prepared for a bit of wild living though-walking through the dark jungle to get to the toilet, having to use a mosquito net, living in a little wooden hut with almost no lighting isn't glamorous, not to...

Beautiful island!! Robinson bungalows provided a satisfactory stay. The food was very nice, and the family dinner which was provided every night was a lovely touch. We booked the double story bungalow with an ensuite bathroom (most are shared bathrooms), the room was nice, but had NO FAN and NO AIR CON making sleeping here virtually impossible. The trek needed...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This is not a hotel, but a guest house. It's our home. Everyone is welcome under our roof, and we try our best to make your stay friendly and memorable. We are proud to offer traditional Khmer hospitality, shelter and food. We ask you to show the same respect to our home as you would to your own. Robinson Bungalows is unplug from the noisy world and escape to a deserted sunset beach. Robinson Bungalows is completely off the grid. We use 100% solar panels for energy and store rain water for washing. Come and enjoy the luxury of simple life. Our bungalows are made from wood with straw roofs and double beds with a mosquito net for your comfort. There are lights in the room and on the terrace and nicely located hammocks or chairs to relax and soak up the sea views. Enjoy a nap in your seaside hammock, listen to the birds sing, swim through the colorful coral and stare eye to eye with a parrot fish. If you are looking for adventure you can take a dive course next door or explore the beautiful jungle of Koh Rong Samloem. We are located at Sunset Beach, on the westside from Koh Rong Samloem. This is a beautiful 500 meter long beach. COMING HERE During the dry season (November - May) There is one daily direct boat transfer to the Sunset Beach. Tickets (20$ return) can be purchased from ,,the Dive Shop Cambodia" in Sihanoukville (open from 7am.- 9 pm.). The boat leaves daily at 7 am. After your stay in Robinson Bungalows, the Diveshop Boat leaves 3.30 pm. You arrive back at the Diveshop Cambodia in Sihanoukville, the boat transfer takes you 3 hours. During the rainy season (June - October) The West wind creates big waves, meaning that the Dive Shop boat can not dock at our pier. During this time, the boat arrives on the other side of the island at Saracen Bay. You will see the sign for Robinson Bungalows at The Dive Shop. To reach us, you will walk along a beautiful, well-marked jungle path, for about 30-40 minutes, crossing a small hill before arriving at Sunset Beach. When you arrive with the Dive Shop boat, our staff will be there to show you the way. You can also store your luggage in the Dive Shop office, which may make the walk a little easier. If you do not arrive on the island with the Dive Shop boat you will have to make your own way to Robinson Bungalows. We can not come to collect you. You will also not be able to store luggage at the Dive Shop. ... more   less
