Stayed in the Bungalow with partial sea view. They are expanding at the moment, so we could see the effort and pure exertion that goes into building a bungalow. (Carting about 40, 50kg plus bags of bricks hundreds of metres up soft sand from the beach drop off point was just the tip of the iceberg!) The Bungalow has a...

If you're looking to get away from all aspects of civilisation including wifi, obnoxious tourists and loud bars, this place is perfect. Be prepared for a bit of wild living though-walking through the dark jungle to get to the toilet, having to use a mosquito net, living in a little wooden hut with almost no lighting isn't glamorous, not to...

Beautiful island!! Robinson bungalows provided a satisfactory stay. The food was very nice, and the family dinner which was provided every night was a lovely touch. We booked the double story bungalow with an ensuite bathroom (most are shared bathrooms), the room was nice, but had NO FAN and NO AIR CON making sleeping here virtually impossible. The trek needed...

Amazing golden beaches and paradise-like scenery. The bungalows are set right on the beach, some with sea views and some partially behind with a half sea view. The setting is literally in the jungle so prepare for this but it really is amazing. The bungalow itself is a hut - very sturdy and well built. Big queen size mattress, storage...

Stayed at Robinson Bungalows for two nights. Was ok. Really rustic with gaps in the floor boards and walls as well as some holes in the roof (leaked a bit when it rained). Mozzie net was a bonus. Private deck wth hammock and chair was nice. Bathrooms were a bit far from where I was staying and were ok. Was...

Stayed here 3 days and 3 nights and I highly recommend it for those looking for a no-frills, rustic, authentic getaway. The bungalows are as bare and simple as can be, with no fans (rely on the sea breeze) and only one hanging lightbulb inside and in the balcony. All bungalows are within feet of the water, and most have...

We didn't stay here but visited 3 times a day for food as it has the best food in town (not the greatest food ever but best on sunset beach). Though BBQ seafood can be improved. need more actual seafood and less potato/carrot+mango salad. The Khmer manager is very friendly and lovely. She helped to organise a v lovely private...

What a beautiful, simple, unspoiled place to relax and enjoy being alive! There is nothing that we didn't like about the "robinsons". The stuff and the owners (a young swiss couple) are so kind and supportive at all time (and we stayed a looong time, 2 whole months!). If you are looking for complete relaxation, delicious khmer food and cozy...

We had heard great stories about Sunset Beach on Koh Rong Samloem. The seclusion of the beach, the amazing views and beach, and the great food of the resorts there were all the reasons we needed to book a few days on Sunset Beach. Of the several resorts on the beach we decided to stay at Robinson Bungalows. If you’re...

The Robinson Bungalows is the perfect get-away. First, because of the location: the beach is almost empty, the water is clear and warm, you have a beautiful sunset everyday. Second, because of the bungalows: simple yet perfect. You can hear so clearly the sound of the waves that you will sleep like never before. We had a "basic" bungalow (no...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This is not a hotel, but a guest house. It's our home. Everyone is welcome under our roof, and we try our best to make your stay friendly and memorable. We are proud to offer traditional Khmer hospitality, shelter and food. We ask you to show the same respect to our home as you would to your own. Robinson Bungalows is unplug from the noisy world and escape to a deserted sunset beach. Robinson Bungalows is completely off the grid. We use 100% solar panels for energy and store rain water for washing. Come and enjoy the luxury of simple life. Our bungalows are made from wood with straw roofs and double beds with a mosquito net for your comfort. There are lights in the room and on the terrace and nicely located hammocks or chairs to relax and soak up the sea views. Enjoy a nap in your seaside hammock, listen to the birds sing, swim through the colorful coral and stare eye to eye with a parrot fish. If you are looking for adventure you can take a dive course next door or explore the beautiful jungle of Koh Rong Samloem. We are located at Sunset Beach, on the westside from Koh Rong Samloem. This is a beautiful 500 meter long beach. COMING HERE During the dry season (November - May) There is one daily direct boat transfer to the Sunset Beach. Tickets (20$ return) can be purchased from ,,the Dive Shop Cambodia" in Sihanoukville (open from 7am.- 9 pm.). The boat leaves daily at 7 am. After your stay in Robinson Bungalows, the Diveshop Boat leaves 3.30 pm. You arrive back at the Diveshop Cambodia in Sihanoukville, the boat transfer takes you 3 hours. During the rainy season (June - October) The West wind creates big waves, meaning that the Dive Shop boat can not dock at our pier. During this time, the boat arrives on the other side of the island at Saracen Bay. You will see the sign for Robinson Bungalows at The Dive Shop. To reach us, you will walk along a beautiful, well-marked jungle path, for about 30-40 minutes, crossing a small hill before arriving at Sunset Beach. When you arrive with the Dive Shop boat, our staff will be there to show you the way. You can also store your luggage in the Dive Shop office, which may make the walk a little easier. If you do not arrive on the island with the Dive Shop boat you will have to make your own way to Robinson Bungalows. We can not come to collect you. You will also not be able to store luggage at the Dive Shop. ... more   less
