We spent two nights on this site on the St Patrick's weekend this year(2017).its a lovely site with great facilities for kids and a beautiful beach nearby. Normally I'd award four or five stars for a site like this, but, it seems the owner prefers to use sheep to control the grass rather than the conventional method of using lawn...

Thanks for your review. As much as we would like to take credit for the ingenious idea of employing sheep to mow the lawns to save money we however did not think of this. Unfortunately it is an occasional problem that we incur being set in a rural area. The park is surrounded by numerous fences and hedges to control...

The people running the site were nice enough, but we appeared to have arrived before they were ready for touring visitors. There are a huge number of static caravans on the site, and I am sure that these people were well served, but tourers were very much left to their own devices. The shower block, while clean and well set-up,...

Thanks for your review. We are continually trying to improve the experience for our guests. This year we upgraded the reception and shop area and unfortunately you must have visited us during the period we were trying to get it finished. We normally always have the basics in the shop and newspapers only during July and August. The heating in...

Stayed in Knockalla over Easter and had a lovely stay. Our pitch was big enough for caravan, awning and our car, it was also very level. The toilet block and showers were very clean, but drain in shower not big enough to take water away, so don't leave your shoes or anything else on the floor. There is a great...

We arrived here at the end of the holiday season & it was the most beautiful setting you could ever imagine a holiday park in. A stroll down to Portsalon beach with wonderful views, we wished we could've stayed longer. Very helpful & friendly owners.

The view alone driving down to Ballymastocker Bay is worth an overnight stay at this site, as was the view from our pitch, which was large and level. The site is very clean and well kept and looks to have a good play area for children. The showers are one euro, very clean and have large modern 'rain' heads, but...

If you want peace and quiet it is a beautiful site. We spent 5 nights and used it as our base. A popular place with families with play area for kids, tennis court and football. On site cafe, however, was not open but we will be back to taste the homemade cooking. Also, stunning views.

We travelled with family and friends to spend the last weekend before school started. The campsite is clean and very well run by the management. Toilet and shower facilities are clean and tidy. If anybody is speeding through the site they will quickly be told off. This is to protect the children who love the freedom and safety of the...

Well kept and large site, with shop, cafe and great play park for kids. Really nicely landscaped by the beach although no access to beach, only by driving a few miles. In the summer holidays it is literally overrun with children, very safe for them but chaotic and not what we were after. Portsalon has one of the best beaches...

Spent the weekend at Knockalla with family & friends. Absolutely beautiful spot. The park itself is spotless, plenty to do. Nice and quiet at night. Couldn't fault it, even the stormy weather didn't ruin our stay. Highly recommend a stay here, the owner is very nice, only too happy to answer any queries we had. Will definately be visiting again.

We camped for a week at Knockalla and had a great time. It's in a fantastic location and though it is a park mainly for statics, the tent site is in probably the best part of the park for views. I've read some of the bad reviews referring to the owner and manager but I felt he went out of...
