Casa Hostal El Legendario in Playa Larga is perfectly located direct on the wonderful beach at the head of Bay of pigs, known for ex-cubans attempt to invade Cuba in 1961. The best features of this casa are just its location, friendly staff and beautiful patio which serve as an open restaurant. In evenings plays here different groups good Cuban...

Hola! Me and my 2 friends stayed for 2 nights in Hostal El Legendario and everything was wonderful: 1. Room was clean with air conditioning, with a "balcony" to the restaurant and the sea (5 m to the beach!) 2. Arnoldo as well as the others was very cheerful and helpful, we had some funny talks :) 3. The food...

Really amazing place!! Quite and peaceful (but not too much, anyway it's Cuba), you can spend the whole day lying on the beach (wich is 2 meters in front of the Hostel) drinking pina colada or go on a diving/snorkelling trip wich is also nice! One the best place I've been in Cuba!! Arnoldo and his wife are so nice,...

We did not stay at this Casa, but we had dinner there the two nights we were in Playa Larga. Ok first of all Arnold is hilarious. The most gregarious Cuban we met. He brings joy to everyone at the restaurant. He loves to dance, drink, sing, and make you feel welcomed. The food was delicious! The service wasn't the...

My partner and I stayed one night on the way down to cienfuegos and I'm so glad we did. First off, bay of pigs on our doorstep! Secondly our casa host made us a free cocktail on arrival, and a cigar! We decided to have dinner in the casa as he seemed very insistent (to the point where the price...

Visited El Legendario in Playa Larga. Almost passed on this to head straight to Cienfuegos, but decided to see what was around there, photographically. Not much to shoot - Playa Larga is a small fishing community with a really nice beach on the Bay of Pigs, so it's great for relaxing by the beach, snorkeling, scuba diving both in the...

We just got to spend time on the patio, listening to music, drinking some nice mojitos, and talking with the friendly, hospitable host, Arnoldo. We got a chance to look at the rooms for rent and at the gallery, but we didn't sleep in the beds, so I don't feel like I can give it 5 stars. The location on...

Feels like home to stay here. Everybody, Mique, his nephew, and all the other people who work there help to make your stay as good as can be. The...

We had a fantastic stay in Casa el Legendario. You walk from the terrace right onto the beach. Food was amazing! Best breakfast and dinner (pescado) we've had in Cuba! Staff was super friendly and although the room was a bit basic, it seems they were upgrading the rooms with new A/C and painting them, so this might be a...

Yancey & Miguel are friendly and helpful (Miguel is the son of Ivette & Arnoldo I think and Yancey is his cousin. Good meals (filling lobster or shrimp with sides- one dish for $10 is enough for two!), fun vibe for dinner and drinks. Rooms are just okay- front room with sliding glass doors looks the nicest but could be...
