We just spent a week at the Holiday Villa and really enjoyed our stay after the MCO! First, the hotel itself was charming. While it does show its age in spots, it was very clean and well kept in all areas. The room was the perfect size for us (2 adults and 1 child) and we had an amazing view of the pools and beach for lovely nightly sunsets over the sea. It was clean and comfortable. The pool was open and we all enjoyed it thoroughly! The staff were regularly keeping it clean. We did not visit the other pool overlooking the sea directly, but also didn’t feel the need as the main was is very large with plenty of seating/lounging available. The location is great and you walk straight into the beach from the property to enjoy beach seating and a pleasant swimming beach away from the hustle and bustle of Chenang up the way. The daily breakfast was included in our package and seemed to be transitioning back to full service while we were staying. There was plenty of local food and options for breads/fruit/eggs station as well. We ate at the La Villa by the pools/beach twice and it was good too. Our biggest complement has to go to the staff, who were so friendly and helpful. It was great to chat with them and see them with our son and form a friendly rapport. They were ready for any request and quickly learned what our favorites were, particularly at breakfast! They offered to hold our luggage both at the beginning and end of our trip which made it easy to explore when flights don’t fit the check in/out times. We really enjoyed our stay and will absolutely come back on another visit to the island.

Super friendly and attractive staff, happy to assist at any time from entering the hotel, through reception FOM.
Room service all the way to the restaurant service, our dinner at LaVilla restaurant is grateful and super delicious food served with hot stone, morning breakfast at pool area with great view.
Very comfortable room with great service by housekeeping staff, clean and spacious swimming pool, big and well equipped gym, thank you to the Housekeeper.
In case of any issue, the hotel manager goes above and beyond to remediate them. I had a marvellous stay with Holiday Villa Langkawi and absolutely we will come here again at anytime.

I didn't know what to expect when we booked this hotel because the comments varied so much from very negative to very positive. We booked this hotel in short notice and I was looking for a hotel at the beach with a pool and with 4 stars in the price range of around 100 euros a night. My conclusion is the following: I enjoyed my stay. The rooms are old, but everything was working fine and the shower had a very good water pressure. The service was good. I had a question on the safe and wanted some softer pillows. 5 minutes after asking the reception some one knocked on the door to explain how the safe worked and also someone quickly came to change the pillows to softer pillows. I booked a room without breakfast. There are some many nice places with a wonderful breakfast just across the street.
The pool was nice and the beach is nice too. The drinks at the pool are very affordable. I have one advice to management. I don't understand the extra charge for the nice infinity pool (they have 2 pools, 1 for free and one with charge). I would recommend, definitely with the competition of the nice Eloft hotel and Camar resort as their neighbors, to let the guests of Holiday Villa enjoy the infinity pool for free. It makes top for the more dated rooms in the hotel.

The money we have paid was not worth as we have experienced with other accommodation. This hotel does not supply tooth paste, tooth brush, shaver, slipper, bathrobe. The room has no power point at the bedside. The room cleaning was not consistent as the toilet was not cleaned properly and towels were not changed until we have made a request at concierge. Poolside has rules for swimwear but we saw people wore long black head gear into the pool especially during the pandemic virus spread period. It was so not hygiene awareness. The resort is big but the interior looks very old and needs some refurbishment to refresh the outlook. Breakfast food variety was poor and not up to hotel standard. There was not much of alternate days changed of food variety. We will not go back for the second time like we would with some others accommodation we have stayed that has created a good experience for us.

We stayed at the Holiday Villa Resort but had to cut short our stay due to the Lockdown impossed in Malaysia. However in the time we stayed there we really enjoyed the resort although it was very quiet due to the Covid 19 situation. The staff were very good and very quick to meet our request to be moved to a suite on a higher floor, this was done quickly with the minimum of fuss. We ate in the hotel most evenings and lunchtimes as the food was so good and reasonably priced. The staff in Lavilla restaurant were lovely and very helpful even the trainees who were very good. The barman at the swim up bar desrves a special mention he kept our glasses full at happy hour. We were so disappointed to have to leave at very short notice but will be back when things are back to normal...

I guess all I can say is that this hotel offers more than acceptable rooms, I can’t complain about cleanliness, I haven’t used any of the restaurants within the property as they are absolutely overpriced compared to what you can find within 5 mins walk. I have used the bar in the swimming pool and poor people that work there. They are understaffed and overworked,most of the time only 1 person running like a headless chicken, I didn’t complain as I actually felt sorry for them. Food quality there is relatively poor but drinks prices during happy hour are awesome. Gym is veeeeeery tired and old but I guess it does its trick if you only spend 2/3 days. If you want to have a swim in the sea facing the hotel it’s a no go! It’s actually not nice and muddy, or maybe I’m spoiled. Staff is really nice and friendly and they do their best to make you happy.

An excellent choice for anyone to make who wants a nice, quiet place to stay that is not too far from the city's main attractions.
The management and staff were more than helpful and eager to accommodate to our requests.
The location of this hotel is fantastic as it isn't too far from the main attractions of the city.
The breakfast was to die for with so much variety that reflected the multicultural guests that were staying at the hotel. I felt that this was a very nice gesture to help make the guests feel comfortable.
The pool was well managed, and the view of the sea from the hotel room was simply gorgeous!
Definitely recommended.

Being 'stay at home' for few months during MCO & CMCO, we had the most enjoyed and relaxed family weekend getaway. With super special room offer for 2 nights, it was an awesome weekend staycation for us.
Although with the new norm, all staff provided the excellence service from the moment we arrived till the day we left.
I enjoyed most walking and jogging along the white sand beaches that was unbelievably clean. The breathtaking view overlooking the Andaman Sea while we had set breakfast - yummy nasi lemak chicken rendang and fried rice - by the infinity pool was amazing.
The food!! We ordered room service combo set at very reasonable price. Kiddos had the most fun ordering their favorite ice blended too!
Waking up with such a lushed green garden view blown with fresh air were a blessing.
p.s: They surprised me with colourful baloons on the bed while they made up the room. I was so touched - happened to be my birthday too! Thanks alot for an unforgettable moments we had. Sure, we'll come back again for next getaway ❤

This resort is advertised as 4 star but I think it would be lucky to be 2 star. The rooms are old and very outdated. The bathrooms have a lot of mould and the wood is starting to rot. Every day we had to chase house keeping because they forgot something. It was either hand towels, toilet paper, bath mat, water, coffee and it was everyday. You only get 1 bottle of water per room even though there are 2 people in the room. The instructions for the safe were incorrect so of course we had to get someone to show us the correct way. The hairdryer sounded like a jet engine and it was a fold up one that kept collapsing so you had to try and hold it upright while using it. If you ring reception they don't answer but if you go there you will find 3 people standing around talking. The staff that are at the entrance to the resort never look up from their phones to acknowledge you let alone say hello. The staff at La Villa didn't once come to the pool to see if anyone wanted a drink or something to eat even though there was only about 4 people there at the most. The pool bar was closed so if you wanted something you had to go to them. We didn't see any tour desk or even brochures on what there is to do at the resort or Langkawi. The pool/towel guys were always lovely and friendly and so were the housekeeping staff but the rest of the staff never looked at you or spoke to you. When we checked out there was no "hope you enjoyed your stay" or "thank you for staying with us we hope to see you again". We won't be back.....

We just stayed here with another couple, we were in an adjoining room. We were early to check in so our bags were held for us for a couple of hours. The check in staff are beautiful & professional. We went for a walk around, the resort is right on the beach with a bar on the sand, a massive pool with swim up bar, a separate infinity pool & bar area (which you pay extra for, we were happy to swim in the main pool) & lovely gardens. Our room was very large with a day bed, nice bathroom with a large shower, heaps of cupboard space & balcony that faced the pool/ocean. The cafe downstairs was great for barista coffee & a snack. We had breakfast included, there was a nice variety but not everything suited us, we did love the omelettes though, plenty of seating. We sat on the beach most nights drinking cocktails, the bar staff are great, we had a meal out there one night, it was beautiful. The rooms were very clean but just needed some maintenance. The only complaint we have is the noise from the other guests, we are very considerate when we go on holidays but unfortunately some people don't act the same way (this isn't the fault of the resort) we were in a middle floor (I wouldn't recommend) the flooring is tiles so it is very noisy. The people above were running up & down in their room & dragging furniture, the people next door were dragging furniture at midnight. A suggestion would be to put felt or material under the feet of the chairs, it is so loud when they are dragged across the floor late at night. Overall it was a nice stay, convenient to local restaurants, it is a large resort so if you don't want to share your space with children or a lot of people this is not for you. The staff were all friendly, helpful & very happy all of the time.

I don't remember any shuttle between the hotel and Chenang Mall. However, I think you should download the Grab app and use it for your travels on the island. It is inexpensive and convenient. You will see the cost on the app before you book. In addition, you can even pay with your credit card stored in the app. You can also use cash (ringgit).
There are more places to choose from in the Pantai Tengah area.
