Our room (Blenheim) was in another building, across the courtyard in the back, a nice room with a good bed, but no place to put bags. (This was to happen innumerable times on this trip.) And a rain shower, sadly. Our dinner was one of the best dinners of our trip -- “Black and Blue Fillet” -- with a bit...

Bought on a travel zoo deal we were thrilled with the value for money. Having now stayed there and enjoyed the delicious food (both dinner and breakfast), and the comfortable and clean rooms, we will definitely return. The pub itself is old and charming yet tastefully refurbished in a modern style. The food is plentiful and interesting with some South...

A family occasion bought us here and we wish we had visited sooner as not too far from home. Quality of the steaks first class and lovely setting although a wet and chilly evening the children enjoyed playing outside, we will be returning very soon.

We stayed here on an overnightstay including dinner and breakfast. The room was lovely, alot better than I was expecting, bed was very comfy and a nice little seating area outside. The food was great, lots of choice! friendly/helpful staff, great little location, couldnt recommend enough! Would definitely come back again.

I took my elderly parents here for a mid week supper. The food was delicious, and the staff very attentive. Definitely recommend. The only downside is the Sunday lunch sittings (12pm - too early) and 2.30pm (too late)

Stayed over on a friday night courtesy of what seems to be an ongoing deal via the usual websites of a night's accommodation for two, three course dinner and breakfast for under £100. Overall this is a very good deal as the dinner is excellent. Due to the history of ownership, there is a South African element to some of...

We booked for lunch, an anniversary celebration. The service was welcoming, friendly, and excellent, the food was some of the best I had ever experienced. I ordered and Oxford Gold beer to accompany fish and chips, and my wife had Poussin, both were a presentation of fine dining and were a joy to eat. The other two courses we ordered were...

We stayed here on a 2 night special offer, not expecting too much but were we pleasantly surprised. Oldie worldly pub with wood flooring throughout. Fab garden with lots of tables.Rooms were separate from the main building, and recently updated, walk in double shower. Breakfast was buffet cereals and fruit. Then a full English or variation cooked fresh to order. My steak...

My partner booked the Crown Inn through Secret Escapes for my birthday back in February and I have to say I had a lovely time! We arrived mid afternoon driving into a car park over looking a nice courtyard area situated in front of a modern looking single story long building (that intrigued us). We entered the main building, a...

We stayed here for 2 nights while attending a wedding in the area. We were very pleased to arrive on the Friday evening after a long drive to a warm welcome from a lovely lady (dark-haired, possibly the manager, didn't get her name) and then to relax in lovely surroundings with a big glass of wine and a very decent...
