Beautiful, well-run hotel surrounded by avocado trees in a very quiet part of Tenerife. We had a large, comfortable room. Food quality in hotel restaurant needs a little improvement. But there is no lack of restaurants in capital Santa Cruz, which is a 30-minute drive. And a fish meal is delicious (and inexpensive) in nearby Puertito de Guimar.

Prestige Holidays describe this hotel as "a sweet country property surrounded by its own avocado groves in a beautiful setting". The first part of this description is true. The hotel comprises of a central building housing the reception and restaurant (very attractive and nicely presented high ceilinged stone barn-like building with conservatory and outside eating area) and a number of...

This hotel does what it says on the tin. It's rural with basic amenities set in an avovado grove with pleasant gardens and a nice but small swimming pool. The hotel is about 30 minutes by car from the south airport and only a few minutes from the TF1 which will take you to other places on the island. A...

The accommodation at the Finca is large and very comfortable. Everything has been thought of including towelling bath robes for the cold nights. The only drawback is that the 6 foot wide beds (Very positive) are really hard. The gardens are beautiful and full of avocado trees and a huge variety of cactus. I leave the food till the end because we...

The Finca is set in large attractive gardens, yet only 10 minutes from the TF-1 motorway. Our room was huge and well equipped with 4 large fitted wardrobes, the room was something like 8m by 6m, and included a separate sitting area. In addition we had a good sized bathroom and large terrace. Staff were always pleasant and helpful, buffet...

Really a very nice place to stay, just outside of Guimar. Positive notes: The grounds are beautiful. The staff is generally very good and Frank in particular is excellent. Location is great, very close to the beaches on the east side of the island and the pyramids. The port of Guimar has some wonderful restaurants and an off-the-beaten-path flavor that...

We had a lovely week in the finca Salamanca. Tenerife is in fact a beautiful and rather unspoilt island, once you manage to avoid the tourist ghetto's on the south coast. The hotel is basically a former estate, located in the middle of a wonderful avocado plantation. LOCATION: just outside the little town of Guimar (on the eastern coast of...

we just got back from a weekend stay at Finca Salamanca and overall we were pleased with the accomodation. Reception staff very pleasant and helpful (breakfast staff not so helpful nor pleasant). Surroundings beautiful with excellent mountain views and the finca set in grounds full of fruit trees which creates a relaxing atmosphere when you are chilling by the pool....

With a superb, off-the tourist-circuit location, the Salamanca was excellent value and, for us, a memorable experience. We had chosen the hotel for a family gathering to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday....without her knowing! Me and Her Indoors stayed on our own for two days before the kids (4 Adults, 1 -13 year-old, 1-9 year-old and one baby) arrived to...

First impressions are good. Very canarian with large gardens and lots of greenery. Avocado trees everywhere. Not at all what you'd expect to find on Tenerife. Although its billed as a rural hotel, its actually just off the main road from Guimar to the motorway. Traffic noise isn't particularly intrusive, but the hotel isn't in a particularly rural location. Its...
