We needed a base in the peaks for a weekend. And the Valley View provided an ideal location for us. We found the owner was helpful and friendly, even though we arrived late. The room was nice and comfortable with good views out over the roofs to the hills beyond. The en suite bathroom was stunning too. The breakfast was...

I went to the bed and breakfast about one month ago with friends and loved it. The location is ideal, near places like Chatsworth House and Bakewell and excellent view Sue greeted us even though we came in bit earlier than expected. She informed us of the local places to visit. The breakfast food was ready on time and first...

How could anyone ever fault this excellent B&B. In August we stayed in the cottage with spacious accommodation, spacious T.V. lounge and bedroom, spotlessly clean throughout, with little extra touches, like flowers in the room, and quality bathroom toiletries. The warmth of the welcome from both Sue and Dave, made one feel like meeting old friends. The breakfast dishes were extensive...

Having trawled the internet last month, for a reasonably priced Bed and Breakfast accommodation in the Peak District for a four day stay in October - I found "Valley View" in Calver. As always, when selecting potential places to stay, I referred to 'Trip Advisor' for advice regarding other people's experiences, so as to minimise the risk of an unpleasant...

I stayed for two nights in August so I could explore the local area and have to say, that this B&B was exactly as it said on the tin. The welcome by Sue was lovely. Our room was cleaned and decorated to a high standard. Sue had even thought of the little touches to our room to make it a...

We had a friendly welcome from Sue, and the cottage is probably the best room to book if you can- you get a sitting room with some basic kitchen facilties, as well as a bedroom and bathroom. The bed was a bit small for 2, but everything was clean, modern and comfortable. We could have eaten takeaway or a microwave...

We stayed in a group of three couples (all retired) and one dog and received first class service. The rooms were all extremely comfortable with lovely bathrooms, and everything was extremely clean. The breakfast was perfectly cooked with a very large choice available - it was quite simply perfect, and we all enjoyed a relaxing holiday. Sue was also very...

Valley View B &B was a delight. The bedroom and ensuite exceeded our expectations (we stayed in the Derwent room). Our hostess could not have been more helpful, and breakfast was all you could want , and more! The location is excellent for visiting Chatsworth House and many other interesting places. We would be happy to recommend this and plan...

Myself and my boyfriend, aged 23 and 26 respectively, went to stay at Valley View for a couple of nights over New Year 10/11. We were late due to unforseen circumstances, but I phoned Sue to let her know and she assured me it'd be fine, even though it was New Years Eve! Upon arrival, we were greeted by Sue...

Our second trip to Valley View and this time we took freinds. We were warmly greeted by Sue who showed us to our large, comfortable immaculate rooms. The extensive breakfast menu was cooked to perfection. Thank you Sue for another enjoyable stay.
