We loved our two nights at Shute Cottage which is just on the outskirts of Dartmoor National Park, and our hostess, Carole. Doddiscombsleigh is quite remote so if you want to get away from it all and listen to nothing but birds singing then this is the place. We stayed in the converted barn which was comfortable, warm and full...

We stopped at this b&b in August after visiting relatives. The area is very peaceful but convenient for Exmoor and Exeter. Carole was very welcoming and friendly and our breakfasts were extremely good. We had a child with us so the room was a little cramped, probably better suited to couples but none the less well equipped.

We stayed for one night in the converted barn. Carol, the Landlady, was very welcoming and the barn was perfect. Our dog 'Farley', enjoyed his stay too. He had a lovely time playing with Carol's dog 'Talula'. As for the breakfast, it was amazing and Carol had gone to a lot of trouble to supply a very satisfying meal. Thank...

We stayed in the main house - double bedroom with all the usual tea / coffee, telly and your own bathroom off the hall. Few extra touches like chocolates and bottled water. Eclectic old fashioned furniture which all made it good and homely. Comfy nights sleep. Friends we were with stayed in the barn conversion which had a little self...

We stayed 6 nights October 2013. We have a son at Exeter University and wanted to visit, but wanted to have a holiday ourselves too, so we stayed at this idyllic B&B, about 10 miles from Exeter and the same distance from the Dartmoor National Park. We stayed in the Barn conversion, a self-contained unit with King-sized bed, a kitchenette...

We stayed in the lovely barn conversion which is really pretty and fitted out to a very high standard. The kingsize bed is very comfortable and this is a great place to stay to really recharge your batteries! You can choose to have breakfast in the B & B, which we did and it was superb. The owner is very...
