Set in the Himalayan foothills the lodge gives you a serene and beautiful view & its a wonderful place in a fantastic setting. Well Trained & Friendly staff. The food was great and all facilities are excellent. Very Well maintained Property with good view of the Mountains, you must not miss a walk to the nearby forest areas. My wife and I have visited Kafal House twice in the last year, and both times we have been very impressed by the serenity of the place, the quality of birdwatching and the hospitality of the staff. Since we visit Pangot mainly for bird watching, we enjoy the fact that there are a number of bird species that one can tick off within the premises of Kafal House itself. One can also hire a bird guide here (at an additional charge), who is usually very knowledgable about the local bird species. The woodpecker walk, which is just a couple of kilometres from Kafal House, is great for spotting common mid-altitude woodpecker species. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who wishes to spend a quiet few days in the lap of mountains and surrounded by the chirp of birds.

Surrounded by the sub-alpine forests, Kafal House is the best place to be if you are in and around Delhi-NCR and are looking for a peaceful weekend among the hills. After a smooth 7-8 hours drive from Delhi via Moradabad, you shall land deep in the pine woods, with only Nature for company. The common corridor that also serves as the balcony provides great views of the valley below - the Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve. The vegetation around abounds in myriads species of birds. The tranquil soul shall find a reflective hymn bubbling within....the storyteller shall feel the spider weaving a plot within.... At Kafal House they do not promise luxurious facilities, but they also ensure that boarders have all that they need to be comfortable. The dining area is cosy and aesthetically decorated with artifacts, varied in taste. The food is tasty and leaves you wanting for more. They also have resident birding guides who can take you on jolly hikes in search of the thrushes and the pheasants. An unspoilt gem in the Kumaoni Himalayas...visit there before its too late..and don't miss the experience of sipping tea in the dusk..at the balcony at Kafal House, while the sun melts in a cacaphony of colors on the canvas below....

Pangot . Kafal House. One of the most beautiful locations near Nainital belt. Just 13km away and at higher altitude.Have booked 4 rooms and Stayed at Kafal House for 2 nights/3days. The stay was excellent with friendly and homely feeling. Though it is comfortable and VFM, the management could look at to improve upon rooms interiors. The food was excellent. The best part is no wifi TV to distract. Just enjoy nature creations natural beauty, trekking, popular tourist points nearby, various birds species, colorful flowers and above all feel the mist and clouds pass thru you. Would like to visit again during snowfall

If you want a quick getaway from the hustle bustle of the city and spend a day or two in the middle of nature, Kafal House is just the place for you. A 100% pure oxygen to breathe, scenic lush green mountains, beautiful exotic birds to watch, a warm and peaceful abode just to relax and fill your heart with tranquility. Kafal House offers beautiful accommodation amidst the forest with all the basic amenities. Rooms are clean and very cozy, the food is excellent with a Himachali touch in the cooking. But the star of the property is its view. There is an open-air observatory point led by a couple of stairs which has an 180 degrees view of the mountains and the forests. We spent hours on that "Machaan" simply by staring into the mountains and watching beautiful exotic birds while gushes of clouds kept swaying into our faces! The staff here at Kafal House are also very sweet, friendly and helpful. Prem, Dinesh (Manager) and Naresh (Owner) were especially very nice to us and made our stay even more special. There are birding tours in the forests and treks arranged by Dinesh. Our entire staying experience at The Kafal House was wonderful and I absolutely want to and will visit again!
