Stayed just one night while on a weekend trip to the area. Found a warm welcome from Annie and John, who didn't mind when we cheered for the "wrong" team in the televised Rugby. The house is fascinating, the bedroom comfortable and dinner excellent. Highly recommended

Thanks for your lovely review, we are glad you enjoyed your stay. As you were here to deliver your artwork to a local gallery, we thought we would have a look and we now are proud owners of one of your pieces.

This place is a one-off in the nicest possible way. The oldest house in Wales? You can believe it when you've taken in all the history (built in 1402) and character. The welcome is warm in every sense (we arrived on a cold January afternoon), and John and Annie obviously take huge pride in their presentation of the rooms which...

We stayed one night with Anne and John in their amazing house and will definitely return. The eclectic mix of furniture adds to the great character and history of this amazing house - and its owners. Lovely welcome, great conversation in front of a roaring fire, wonderful breakfast. Highly recommended.

Stayed two nights in the very ideosyncratic B&B that Annie and John have created in Wales' oldest house. They provided magnificent hospitality, good conversation, a fully-equipped comfortable bedroom, an eclectically-furnished lounge, and magnificent breakfasts with cockles. Strongly recommended!

Just back from a memorable stay at this extraordinary house, rich in history and charm with owners offering a warmth and welcome second to none. Dinner was a delight of an incredible five beautifully presented courses prepared by Annie and served with humour and grace (!) by John. Breakfast was equally satisfying with enormous choices. A truly unforgettable time, one...

Second year for me to stay at this wonderfully quirky place. Annie and John welcomed us into their home and made us feel at home. The house is like stepping back in time but with some modern comforts. Well worth navigating the track up through the fields

This was my second stay in this fantastic b&b and I feel privileged to have experienced it. Annie and John really make you feel like guests in their home, which you actually are when you stay here. Their home is in a stunning location and has been maintained and furnished with a passion that is evident as soon as you...

Annie and John are gorgeous hosts. I felt very lucky and spoilt to have been able to spend a few nights here. I slept in both rooms and both are fabulous. Incredible faery house aside the gardens surrounding the house are my idea of perfection. This place is beautiful, comfortable, informal and a real life adventure. I fell in love.

Magical, bewitching, enchanting…what is the right word to describe this incredible house and the warm, funny couple who own it? This is a very special place to visit, and the sense of occasion begins with the drive up a rutted farm track and into a medieval courtyard, which was strung with Christmas lights when we arrived. Stepping into the house,...

This is not an ordinary B&B and so much the better for it. The house is in a fantastic position in one of the most beautiful parts of the country. You cross a couple of fields (on decent tracks) to get there, so trust your satnav. It is very ancient but has all the amenities you might expect or hope...
