The resort is strung out across a steep hillside and the hikers' cabins (referred to as Basecamp) are in a great setting right at the top. The rooms are a generous size (especially the double room) with a balcony, and there are excellent facilities attached, including kitchen, lounge and generous bathrooms. The restaurant provides excellent meals with great views over...

This is an attractive property with both views and trees, shade. The rooms are arrayed in 2 unit buildings scattered up a steep hillside. Would be hard for persons who cannot manage steep walks, stairs. The restaurant is at the very top and accessible by road. I had a one bedroom unit with small kitchen, sitting room, deck looking out...

I stayed here whilst walking the track and it was a lovely place to rest. My backpacker cabin was simple but clean. I had dinner in the restaurant which wasn't the best meal I've ever had but the view was amazing. I was excited about getting in the pool but unfortunately it was freezing and didn't seem that clean, I'm...

We stopped to ask for help from the owner, when we discovered we had forgotten all our tramping food for the Queen Charlotte Track 5 day walk. We could not have happened on a kinder and more helpful man, who not only supplied us with items from their store, but even raided the Restaurant larder to make sure we had...

We stayed in the Tui chalets for two nights. No it isn't the cheapest place and probably not the best backpacker option. However, the grounds are lovely and so are the Tui chalets. We loved sleeping to the sound of the waves at night, and the chalet was situated so that it felt completely private and we could leave the...

We Stopped in here for some lunch and supplies while on the Queen Charlotte track. Where we dined in the Cafe and purchased some items from the Store. While the food was excellent, one of our orders was forgotten and we had to remind the staff about the order after two of the three of us had already finished our...

The food was amazing and the packed lunch for our long day of walking was the best for the duration of our walk. Loved the service and the smiles. Very happy here with the comfiest of beds. They even had a heated towel rack!

We stayed here overnight after our second day of walking on the Queen Charlotte Track. The location was stunning and our chalet was nestled in among the trees on the hill. The room was cute and comfortable. It is quite expensive although that's not surprising given the remote location. Dinner was very good although expensive also. Staff were friendly and...
