On arriving there was a lovely log fire burning, and we took Kate up on her offer of a cup of tea, which arrived with the most delicious homemade ginger shortbread - yum ! The bed was very comfortable, a nice friendly atmosphere, that is dog friendly as well, Kate has three, and they are happy to show visiting dogs...

Had a couple of nights stay at Kate's b&b, when we were in Devon to walk the coastal path. Kate made us and our 2 little terriers very welcome with a lovely pot tea and home made cake on arrival, a log fire in the evening in the guest room, plus a tasty breakfast in the morning. Our room was...

Kate's B+B is outstanding. Quiet, all the facilities you need, comfortable and clean, but what makes it special is Kate. She goes the extra mile to do whatever it takes to make your visit memorable - for all the right reasons! We give it 5 stars because of Kate, and Betty, our dog also gives it 5 bones, as Kate's...

We stayed in many B & B's in England but this was the pick of them all. Kate is an extremely wonderful host, the home cooked breakfast was delicious. We were made very welcome, the scenery around the farm is beautiful and refreshing. It is the ideal place to stay if you are visiting River Cottage. Do yourself a favour...

We had a very relaxing overnight stay at Kates Farm. Kate made us feel very welcome and her provision of toys, dog walks, interesting fossils, stones and rocks entertained the children. Being able to enjoy a drink by the fire while the children slept safely upstairs made for a lovely Saturday evening. We found the dogs to be very well...

I was booked to do a 2 day River Cottage cookery course in mid-August and we found Kate's Farm on the RC website's list of recommended accommodation. As a family with three young boys (age range 19 months to 6 years) we were made to feel extremely welcome. Indeed, on our arrival Kate invited the boys to join her while...
