Hotel's Favourite
Just spent 6 days at this wonderful resort - so relaxing and lovely to escape the English weather
What makes this hotel worth the five stars is the outstanding customer service - all the staff went out of their way to make us welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Special thanks to restaurant manager Sasha and waitress Polly, but everyone was wonderful.
We were lucky with the weather, lots of sunshine enabling us to spend most days by the pool, we tried the beach once but it was a little breezy. Both the sea and the pools were fine for swimming if you are used to swimming outside in the UK - bracing to start with, but lovely once you were in.
As it was just outside of the start of the summer season the hotel was very quiet - for two days we had the pool outside the executive rooms to ourselves.
The other pool was next to the indoor pool with a jacuzzi and sauna, but the heated indoor pool was usually full of young children so we only used it once.
Pool towels replenished daily and a bar next to both the outdoor pools.
The resort is quite a way outside Limmasol and there aren’t really any other restaurants/bars close so we opted for all-inclusive, which was well worth it. The food deserves a special mention, mostly buffet style, although a couple of lunches were set menu. Superb choice, particularly for my husband who is vegetarian -everything was very well labelled and he was very well catered for (which isn’t always the case)
All in all a lovely short break to recharge the batteries

We stayed at St Raphael hotel as a last minute holiday for 11 Nights as Cyprus has the lowest rates of Covid infections and we wanted to feel safe!
The hotel was very quiet which made it feel more like a boutique hotel as there wasn’t any question of not getting sunbeds or tables for dinner etc
The part that made our stay was our daily visits to the Seashells Healthy Living Resturant, it’s Vegan (we are not vegan) but it was fab, we had daily juices for breakfast which were sumptuous. And lovely lunches every day sitting looking out to sea. If you are all inclusive this is included and well worth a visit.
What made it truly enjoyable though were our two daily waiters Mickalis and Andreas, they got to know us well and looked after us daily anticipating our needs and making suggestions on the menu. We felt truly looked after they did a great job, it really made our stay all
the more enjoyable.
Thank you guys👍😀

My family and I stayed at this resort in the October half term 2019, along with 3 other families - so there were 17 of us in total (adults and kids).
We booked through Mercury Holidays for what was a really good deal; only to be told a few months before our holiday that they would not be able to honour the price as they were unable to give us the flights at the price they had advertised. After much complaining and trying to arrange 17 people, we ended up paying a much higher price for our holiday than anticipated. So as a CAUTION to others, I will never book with Mercury Holidays again as what they advertise may not necessarily be what they can give you even after you've secured your holiday with a deposit!
However, the holiday and resort itself was perfect. The staff were always so helpful - especially those on Reception. Nothing was too much trouble, We had requested an interconnecting room, but as the hotel was busy with a wedding on the day we arrived, they arranged 2 family rooms for us on the first night and then immediately moved us the second night for the remainder of our holiday to the interconnecting rooms as requested. We even requested an HDMI cable one evening so the lads could play their Nintendo and they sent 2 men to put it up for us.
We were on a half board basis and the food was different every evening. For breakfast the food was varied and vast. I'm gluten intolerant and was able to find something to eat everyday. Even my fussy kids ate well!
The resort itself is big, with all the general amenities as listed - several pools, kids club (although we didn't use this), kids evening entertainment etc. The hotel itself is at the end of Limassol so if you don't have a car, there's not much outside of the resort. Some of our group hired bikes directly next to the hotel entrance. We had a hire car so we ventured out one day to the water park. If the weather is good, you can spend all day on the beach, or by the pool and there's everything right inside the resort so there's no need to leave.

The room is spacious, with enough storage room and meticulously clean, as the cleaner staff visits the rooms twice a day to see if we need anything (there is always plenty of bottled water and a good variety of teas). The toiletry and cosmetic products are fantastic (highly recommend to try the spa cosmetic!). The balcony was of a good size, too (may easily accommodate a family of 4-6). The staff at the reception is very nice and willing to satisfy our needs, especially Kristina and Ivars ;)
The beach is sandy and clean, and the sea is quite shallow for up to 100 m, which is good for kids. The food is excellent - both in terms of quality and variety. The hotel staff takes hygeine and COVID protection very seriously, without being too pushy, I am thankful for that. Overall, it is a very good hotel for an extended family with little kids, it offers a great value for money.
If there is something to improve at all, than I would suggest to reconsider the hotel transfer service (outsourced to an external provider, as I understood). We booked it via the hotel's websiteand was a great disappoinment - the car was filthy with defunct AC, the driver not helpful at all, and it was alsmot 25% more expensive than normal airport rate.

I have stayed here for 11 days during December and a further 14 days in January with some more regular planned stays over the next two years through my work in Cyprus.
It is a lovely hotel with very polite staff and is ideally located for my work which is only a mile away to the east. I have only visited in the winter months and it is very quiet so cannot comment on what is like during peak summer months. Rather than witter on:
Positives:
Very good food and lots of choice at breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Polite and friendly staff who cannot do enough for you. Just be friendly back and you will soon build good relations.
Hotel is very clean and the rooms are spacious
Rooms as standard have lots of conveniences (mini fridge, safe, iron, robes and toiletries are luxury
The gym is well equipped and the sauna and indoor heated pool was a bonus
Same distance roughly from both Larnaca and Paphos airports
Hotel grounds are spacious and great access to the beach
A couple of days, I accidentally left phones, money etc. In the room rather than putting them in the provided safe. I needn’t have worried as they were all as I had left them so obviously very honest, admirable staff employed.
Minor negatives:
Sister hotel to the east is under construction and this can cause some nuisance sound if your room is on that side.
Go off the beaten track to the ice rooms or stair wells and they are a bit smelly and not to the same standard as the bits of the hotel that are on show.
All of the ice machines were unplugged and out of use after a couple of days into my recent stay. Not a big problem as ice is available via. Room service.
Music at dinner are song covers and are really cheesy. Need some more variety as listening to the same music each night is not good.
I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this hotel. With a little bit more attention to detail and some further small investments would really pay dividends.

We have recently stayed at this hotel and this is my own feelings about it. I will tell you what I felt was good and not so good.
Firstly, the hotel itself was okay, it catered for a lot of events both business and weddings. The rooms were okay but needed more emphasis on the cleaning, when we were getting ready the floor was covered in dust that we picked up when walking with damp feet. The balcony to our room which was not a sea view room, was too small, but the room itself and the bathroom was fine. One of the issues to the room was the mini bar, when a hotel stipulates that there is a mini bar in the fridge you expect alcohol to be present, we found 2 cartons of orange juice, 1 can of Pepsi, one can of lemonade and a bottle of water. When I spoke to reception about it they said that drinks in the fridge stoped after Covid-19, what possible reason for not putting drinks in your fridge that has I will let you make up your own mind. While talking about drinks, this is what I have personally found, the cocktails have very little strength to them and the bar staff do not use measures as we do in the UK but tip a small amount into the glass and hide any trace of alcohol with sweet juices or other mixers with loads of ice and completely drown any of the alcohol taste and strength.
The food was fine and we were happy going to the main buffet each morning and evening to eat, we had a choice at lunchtime to go to the main buffet room or eat at the splash restaurant. One evening we ate at the a la carte all Greek restaurant outside which was a barbecue, if you have a healthy appetite, this is definitely up your street, personally I struggled eating it all.
The blue flag beach deserves its title, it is one of the best beaches I’ve ever been to, sand and see and not a rock in site, weekends are very busy as I presume the locals are slowed to bathe there to. If you want to travel then turn left outside the hotel, you will find a bus stop, the number 30 will take you to Limassol town etc.

Upon our arrival, we were greeted by friendly staff at reception who were genuinely interested in helping us settle in quickly. A special mention to Nikki who was extremely helpful throughout our stay. We had a family room which was very comfortable and cleaned thoroughly daily. The grounds and amenities are very pleasant and very well maintained; the private beach adjoins the hotel territory and is a very enjoyable 150m stroll from the main building. The variety and quality of food served up for the evening meals was outstanding! The banqueting team clearly put masses of effort into their work and we were able to find several delicious options each evening. A special mention to Sasha the banqueting manager who was very attentive to all of the guests. Entertainment was also pretty good and our kids were well looked after by the ‘animation team’. If I had to highlight things that could be improved upon, the beach is mobbed at the weekend as people not staying at the hotel wonder onto the hotel’s private beach from the neighbouring beach, which means you need to get your towels down early to secure a lounger. Overall we would definitely consider staying here again and would highly recommend it for both families and couples. We were discussing this with my wife on the way home and we are both of the opinion that the St Raphael resort offered the best value we’ve had on holiday.

+1
The St. Raphael is unapologetically old school in terms of looks which for us carries a certain charm. There are three parts to the hotel really, the main building, the modern tower (which has the Golden Monkey and apartments) and then the newer executive suites which are mainly family rooms and overlook the family Splash pool.
We had booked an in-land view exec suite which honestly made me feel a bit depressed looking at the car park and staff having their breaks, although they room itself was great and we asked for an upgrade.
The reception staff were all LOVELY, very patient, very kind and very eager to help make us happy. They were very busy as the hotel was full to capacity so we didn’t move rooms but after two days Vaggelis a lovely manager contacted me to ask if we were still dissatisfied with the room and we moved to a marina view.
These rooms are absolutely worth the extra money to make your holiday feel amazing. The views are stunning and the terraces are huge.
I am a coeliac and my husband is a vegetarian so we are often a difficult family to please but honestly there is so much choice every lunch and dinner time, the head chef Elias came to see if I wanted a separate meal cooked. All meals were labelled with allergies so I only chose now and again to do this but I all in all I was content all other times.
The vegan restaurant on the beach offers very good food, only a few dishes are on the AI but the meals that are offered are amazingly tasty and fresh. So are the smoothies!
The cocktails are great - plenty to choose from AI and different wines. The bar and the terrace area are lovely places to catch the sunset.
The swim up pool bar was always manned and staff always happy to make you anything they could.
The grounds are beautifully manicured and well kept, plenty of space for extra sunloungers if need be. It was very busy as previously mentioned so towels were on loungers as early as 0800 but this calmed down a bit after the hotel emptied out a bit.
The beach is also great, not necessarily the prettiest beach on the island but the sand shelves gently into the ocean so great for swimming. There is a Watersports facility on the beach too.
All of these things are fantastic and make the hotel a lovely place to stay.
But what really cinched it for us was the overriding ethos which clearly derived from the owner. She practices kindness and the training her staff have been given radiates this. Honestly, nothing is too much trouble and they really want you to be happy.
A lot of staff within this industry chop and change jobs but many of the staff have been with the hotel for years and years. Their customer service is consistently very good.
Remarkably they are genuine and patient, not patronising and bored like so many others.
And for this reason and this reason alone we will return again to St. Raphael.
If you are looking for a really great all rounder in terms of facilities, beach, great food and drinks on all inclusive basis away from the usual spots on the island which are crammed full of Brits try this place.

Came on a last minute booking to escape the unsettled weather in England in search of some summer sun! We decided on an old favourite which we have stayed at on several occasions in the past.
Our welcome was pleasant and we checked in with ease. As this was a last minute booking we chose the standard twin though we were given a side sea view room which was appreciated. The room was clean and generally no real issues though unlike the executive rooms (which we stayed in on our previous visit), the balcony is on the small side and the child's bed was not the best. It looked like a hospital bed with the wheels on the back of the headboard (which in itself is quite dangerous).
The hotel is on the outskirts of Limassol and is right by the sea. The beach is in our opinion the best in Limassol and is one of the main reasons for choosing this hotel. The water is clear and shallow and this time of year is lovely and warm whether you want a sunrise swim or even at dusk which was also very popular. Another feature is the beautiful grounds which were immaculate as ever. There are 3 swimming pools (albeit one is a children's paddling pool). One gripe was that the hotel allows the placing of beach towels on loungers very early and there were times during the day when there were more empty loungers with towels than actual guests around the pools.
On this occasion we only booked bed and breakfast which we enjoyed on the outside terrace of the Octagon Restaurant. The selection was good though not exceptional and based on previous visits was not as varied as before and was quite repetitive. To be fair you will not go hungry, there is enough to satisfy the fussiest of eaters, it just felt that standards had dropped slightly. Customer service was generally good though somewhat functional, however, Angelina was always there to help us to our table. Should mention that on the terrace there was music playing (a mixture of cover versions), which after a while did get a little annoying!
We did notice that there were plenty of activities particularly for children and the animation team has improved since our last visit. It was disappointing to learn that water polo was no longer an option though the 6pm football session was very popular, many thanks to Hugo who was great with the children.
On this occasion we were unable to secure a late check out (as we had done before) which was unfortunate though it was fine and it did not spoil our final day. We did meet Roberto in the Serenity Spa to see the shower facilities which you can use before you leave and I have to say what a great guy, full of enthusiasm and energy, he really is a credit to the hotel. We did notice that some staff were generally polite though they lacked a smile and the warmth we had received in the past. Perhaps complacency has crept in or as it was rather busy they needed additional support.
Overall we enjoyed our stay here again and the positives certainly outweigh the negatives, though on our next visit to Cyprus we may stay at another resort. If you are planning a stay in Limassol this is definitely a good 4 Star+ option which is about right based on the Jet2 rating.

What a beautiful place! We had a 3-day business trip in Limassol and stayed at the St Raphael Resort. It was very quiet due to the fact we were out of season, but they made our stay an excellent one and looked after us very well. The staff were very attentive and their COVID 19 measures left us feeling very safe and protected. I had an admiral suite and it was excellent. I was able to work from the room, hold business meetings and it was well air-conditioned etc.
The view from my room was also fantastic, I became very lazy over the 3 days enjoying room service breakfast sat out on the balcony :)
They are positioned on the beach and there is a good watersport company based there, this all worked very well. Can't recommend this place enough. 10/10
