What a vibe! What a energy! What a spirituality around this place! I went to this place along with a group of 30 people. This resort is so good about comfort, cleanliness and hygiene. Staff is very cooperative, host is welcoming. Food is simple, tasty and delicious. Ambience is so spiritual. There is an Dhyan madir where BabaJi large photo is there and one can meditate. Babaji cave is almost 1 km of track from this place. I went 2 times. :)

When we were planning to visit Babaji cave from USA, we came across Vanaprastha in internet. We initially hesitated because it was too good to be true when looking at it online. But, after our stay here, I realized why it got many good reviews.
Alok ji helped us from the beginning. He was very flexible with any requests we made prior to the arrival. He arranged a cab for us who can pick us from Haldwani and dropped at the resort. Cab driver, Ganesh bhayya was very friendly, patient and stopped at many breathtaking serene spots on the way. After reaching the resort, during our entire stay, Megha ji & Shankar dada hosted us very well. She precisely know what we need and tailored the comforts, food and needs so that our 3 night stay to be very smooth. They even sat with us during Bon fire and shared some good stories about the place and Babaji miracles. Raju bhayya(cook) food was amazing. He custom made every item for our taste(not to mention, people in our group has different tastes). We never had such pure food made from raw ingredients from the local hills. They even served us some local recipies which tasted so good.
They all pampered us sooo much that we didn't wanna leave us.. LOL..
Overall, a unique experience. This resort is very close to Babaji cave and the trek take about 45 min. Because of this, we were able to go to the cave 2 days and spend good time on meditation. The energies in the area is very good. I highly recommend this place for people who want to spend quality time in the serene beauty and Babaji's energies.

Staying at Vanaprastha Resort has been a rejuvenating and unforgettable experience. If there is something beyond 5 star we would rate our stay . We stayed along with our family while visiting Babaji's cave . Vanprastha resort is very close to Babaji's cave ,quite and convenient . The stay at Venprastha resort like staying with our own family . Rooms are pretty ,done with imported pine wood , tasteful furniture , much suitable for the climate . Staff and hospitality : you can't express their love and affection with simple 5 star , they are way beyond . Alok ji and family be blessed by Babaji's for this wonderful service . Food quality is awesome , home made serves with pure love . Our favourite member Megha ji many thanks for her extradinory hospitality and care she has extended to us . We stayed in Vanprastha resort for a couple of nights in our 10 day tour of Uttarakhand. It was definitely a very beautiful stay. The staff is very helpful and took care of our requests for non-spicy food for kids. The food quality is very good. The cottages are very beautiful as well as cozy (it was december and this was one of the few places which had big space heaters). We were lucky enough to be treated with the beautiful music of a pahaadi artist alongside the bonfire the first night, something we hadn't expected and was arranged by the owner. The approach road to the property is 2.6 km of dirt road, so be ready for a bit slow and slightly adventurous ride in the last leg of the journey. I will highly recommend this place for the quitissential beauty, great design of cottages and great staff.

If you are looking for visiting Mahaavtar Babaji cave or looking for for a place for secluded meditation, look no further. A wonderful team of people who are passionate about your spiritual growth await you at Vanprasth Resort, Dunagiri. The resort is located just 45 minutes trek to Mahaavtar Babaji cave. The trek is moderately difficult, slightly steep and might not be easy for the infirm. The trek back to resort is about 30minutes. The cave opens from 10am and closes at 4pm. At the resort, the rooms are comfortable and fitted with all modern amenities. There is also a quaint meditation room where the founder of Vanprasth Resort Mr Alok Mishra conducts satsang, followed by meditation. The team which runs the resort is a pleasant bunch of people. They are motivated to make your stay comfortable, and will go extra lengths at accomodating your requests. Food is simple, fresh & satvik (Hindu vegetarian). This is a no alcohol, and no meat/ no non-veg place so plan accordingly.

Vanprastha Resort is very blessed because this is located about a mile away from mahavatar baba ji cave. i stayed there with my family .resort is very beautiful , neet and clean . we can feel there pure soul of guru ji . i strongly recommended to stay there. there is great vibration . Meditation room is also available there with large size of guru ji 's picture . food was awsm , resort's staff behavior is very polite specially megha's behavior. all amenities were available there . i wanna go there again .

This is my second visit to Vanaprastha Resorts, I organize an annual trek from Kathgodam to Babaji's Cave. We were here in November 2023. Alok is my Guru Bhai, we are YSS Members, Paramahansa Yoganandaji, the author of Autobiography of a Yogi is our Guru, and naturally, staying in his Resort is like staying in his home. I have been visiting Babaji's Cave every year right from 2004 onwards, and I had always wanted to stay right near the Holy Cave. At last due to Alok's hard work, that dream has come true. Now every time I trek to Babaji's Cave with my trekking teammates, I will spend at least one night at Vanaprastha. After an arduous trek of 5 days, it is but natural that we all want to rest and relax, and staying at Vanaprastha ensures that we get a lot of rest and solitude. The location is heavenly, the sattvic food is divine, the staff are always hovering around us, ensuring that we are totally enchanted by their hospitality. It's like the icing of a cake. All our teammates get to rest in Paradise. We get to meditate longer in the Holy Cave as we need not go back to Dwarahat, and we also get to meditate in the resort's lovely meditation hall...so it is truly a blessing to have a world class resort so near.

We found this resort on the YSS Dwarhat website. We liked it because of its proximity to Mahavtar Babaji's Cave ( about 2.4km) given the fact that we were short on time and desperate to have darshan in the quickest time.
The resort is impeccably managed by 4 young Managers. They arrange a local guide and transportation on request. The hospitality and warmth of this young team was so memorable and will always remain with us. After our trek to the holy cave, we were served the most delicious vegetarian meals, chai and pakodas, throughout our stay. Though we checked out early, at 6am, we were thoughtfully provided packed breakfasts, though we had not asked for it ! Driver's accomodation is also avaible at a nominal added cost and this was a boon for us since we had hired a car to take us from Delhi to Neem Karoli Baba's Kainch Dham and finally to Babaji's Cave. Our driver was also provided meals within this nominal cost and looked after well.
The rooms, fittings and other amenities were top-notch. Ensure to have a BSNL Sim for internet and Wi-Fi - none other works here. The views all around are to die for and so is the peace and serenity in the lap of Mother Nature and Babaji.
Among the array of books available in the library, the autobiography of the owner, Alok Mishra, Balance Sheet of the Soul, was noteworthy. It's an impossible task to have set-up such a resort in such a remote location so I was curious to read his book and learn about his motivation.
A visit to Vanprastha Resorts is an adventure and a lovely memory. Would definitely like to visit again, Babaji willing, with more family members and friends.
