Just returned from a great break at this amazing country inn. Beautiful big bedroom which furnished beautifully. The place is so dog friendly. Amazing food in the bar, special mention to the lamb 'hot-pot' with added chunks of black pud! Great choice at breakfast All the staff were lovely. Thank you all so much for making us and Lily feel...

Stayed recently on a Saturday whilst walking. A very cosy, welcoming and friendly hotel. The food and drink could not be faulted and the room was spot on and very comfortable. we will definitely be going back. If I could pick one small fault however it would be that dogs were allowed in one of the bars that was supposed...

We've started staying here just after the New Year period each year for hubby's birthday. Originally we booked for 3 nights but the staff recognised us and recommended we join the 'members email'. This saved us quite a bit of money so we decided to stay an additional night which worked out cheaper than staying for 3 nights (including dinner,...

We booked the Coledale Inn for our first wedding anniversary and we loved it here. We were very lucky to get one of the rooms at the front with the gorgeous bay windows overlooking the garden and beautiful views. My Mum had arranged for a present to be delivered to the Coledale Inn so it could be handed to us...

Stayed for a couple of nights after eating at the Coledale in the past. Hotel in a great location, staff were all really friendly and helpful as we were late back on the night to the hotel. The free round of golf at the Keswick Golf Course is a must for any golfer, what a course.

I have stayed many times at The Coledale Inn and am never disappointed. A warm welcome awaits and we feel at ease with our 3 dogs. A beautiful hotel in a beautiful part of the world. We always leave for home having booked a return trip. Thanks everyone.

Whilst staying at Gallery Mews cottages nearby we visited The Coledale Inn on numerous occasions for drinks, lunch and dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it. The pub welcomes dogs and when we went for dinner as all the tables in the bar were reserved the restaurant was available to us even though we had our dog Lizzie with us. We had...

I chose this hotel to support small local businesses after the floods. I had a single room on the top floor facing the back of the hotel. The room was very clean, well maintained and comfortable. The bar food is basic but well cooked and tasty, they have an excellent beer selection My only concern was that the wifi was...

Dear Chris, Thank you for your support. We really appreciate your concern and valued feedback. I think The Coledale fits most peoples definition of a busy well-run pub with rooms. We obviously try and punch above our weight in this accommodation bracket. It would be foolish not to try and improve. Hopefully we have addressed the weak WiFi performance as...

Had St John Ambulance Xmas party 16/12. Great food and very good staff. We will be back. This is a superb hotel/restaurant in a quiet corner of the Lakes. We were made very welcome. There is good access and roads are accessible.

Caught up in the floods of 5th December whilst travelling to Loweswater we were stopped by blocked roads and terrible weather conditions. Local accommodation going fast we managed to get a room here, eventually getting stranded by the waters as they engulfed the access bridge from the B5292. The way the locals fought against the rising water and then the...

Hello, Thank you for your kind comments. I'm happy to say that it is not just The Coledale, its staff and the locals that performed well during and after the floods. All over Cumbria, Lancashire and Scotland there are similar stories. Your comments help remind us that hard work and kindness help the community spirit. The British are great at...
