Went with two small dogs and made to feel very welcome, room cosy and accommodating, food very good and due to the weather spent time in the pub which was warm with real fires and very friendly staff - great short break 👍🏻👍🏻

I chose this place because it had very good reviews and my children love staying In nice places! We arrived after a nice walk and wanted showers, my son went in first and then there was no hot water!! ( 5 o'clock!) I tried to sort it and got soaked as the shower head was broken. I asked at reception...

The Coledale Inn, nestling at the base of Grisedale Pike in the pretty village of Braithwaite, has been a firm favourite of my wife and I over many years when visiting the Lakes. My son and his family now also make a beeline for this popular inn for a meal. Run by the same family for several decades, the pub...

One of our party was staying at the inn with his wife and dog (dog friendly, as are many places in this area) and they were raving about the place - great meals and superb accommodation. We sat out on the lawn and had beers/ales and some had cheesy chips and various other snacks on offer. Wasn't hungry, but after...

An excellent place to refuel after a day on the hills; good food, good beer and despite being very busy good service. We had the "special" chicken and haggis pie which was very filling and came with generous portion of chips and a side dish of fresh veg. The only downside was that I was too full for pud! Very...

Had an amazing stay here. Staff couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. The room and facilities were lovely and cosy with everything I could have asked for. The location is very convenient for the lakes. We had an evening meal and breakfast, the choice was excellent. Will definitely return here if I'm back in the area.

This hotel is a little gem in the rolling hills of Braithwaite. A beautiful location, just a few miles from Keswick centre. There are several trails just outside the door with amazing views from the hill tops. Our two dogs were completely worn out by the end of our stay. I really enjoyed being able to bring the dogs into...

We were recommended this by the landlady at our accommodation in Keswick. We took a leisurely scenic drive across to Braithwick with the intention of stopping for lunch here. Slightly off the beaten track, 2 mins from A66 but well worth the small effort to get here. Our trip was late February and we received a warm welcome from the...

Great room, great food, great staff, dog friendly, great breakfast...what more can I say! I would definitely stay again. They made me feel welcome and helped me get my stuff in, even Jack Sparrow the dog was made to feel welcome. Perfect.

We recently stayed 3 nights for a break away from it all, along with our two little dogs. I highly recommend this place. Our room was great , very clean, very comfy and plenty of space. We ate in the bar each night - loved the food. Great value and great quality. The staff are so lovely and go out...
