We really enjoyed our stay at Braithwaite farm, the owner was so welcoming and friendly, the room was immaculately clean and they have obviously spent a lot of time and effort on the decor, which is much nicer than you would normally get in a B&B. For the price I honestly don't think you could ask for more. Our little... More

We stayed at Braithwaite Farm as part of our honeymoon 33 years ago and have been going back nearly every year since. We love the northern lakes and Braithwaite village is a beautiful spot and ideal location for travelling to lots of different places including Ullswater which is our favourite lake. Braithwaite Farm is a wonderful, family-run B&B situated in the village of Braithwaite, from which it is just a short trip to the surrounding towns and villages, notably Keswick, and is just down the hill from Whinlatter - a hotbed of outdoor activity, with mountain bike trails and hiking opportunities - the former being the primary reason for my visit.... This was our third stay and we expect to go back again and again. I cannot recommend Braithwaite Farm highly enough. Breathtaking views; comfortable rooms ; excellent food for breakfast and very friendly owners who couldn't be more helpful. The Keswick area is one of our favourite places but we had always struggled to find somewhere to stay we wanted... More
