Managed to book a meal for mothering sunday, what a find, great food, attentive staff with a sense of humour, and good prices, what more do you need. We want to be able to book when we want so dont take our word for how good it is.

We recently visited Bishop Wilton and called in for a drink and then a meal. Very friendly pub, plenty of real ale and lager choice and the food was very good. On the night we ate, the landlord was celebrating his first year in the pub and it was full of all ages, enjoying an excellent couple of singers, doing...

As with a lot of the reviews we stayed at the holiday lodges for the weekend. We came in Nov 2015 when this pub was in the process of changing hands and we loved it then. We were worried that it might not be as good 2nd time around but it was even better. It's a great village pub serving...

Went for a walk around this lovely village and dropped in without booking. Welcomed in an seated. Treated to a fantastic 3 course lunch. A popular place with a lovely atmosphere. Portions were generous and the bill was more than reasonable. A cracking spot to which we will definitely return.

It seemed a very...

Superb village pub. We were stopping at the nearby lodges in the village, and thought the pub opened at 5pm per the website, but arrived to find the pub shut at 5:20 (having walked up). The landlord was great in letting us come in, sit down and made us a free coffee each, that is not something you will see...

We have called in several times this year for bar meals. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. Food was perfect and we especially like the Sunday roast. Worth booking a table to avoid disappointment.
