We stopped for lunch at the White Swan whilst walking in the Welland Valley. It is situated in the pretty village of Harringworth, close to the impressive viaduct. The bar had a good selection of local real ales and ciders. We ordered sandwiches from the lunchtime menu and they were excellent. My open beef sandwich came with roast potatoes, Yorkshire...

My husband and i were going to have meal last night in the restaurant, I had emailed and kindly had a response. We were staying pretty local and wanted a nice evening meal, however when we entered the pub, my husband struggled to get by the locals whom were all sitting around the bar, and refused to move out the...

Review of the Pub under new management. We visited the White Swan last night as a couple with my Daughter too for a meal and was pleased to see a fairly simple menu, more than cheap pub grub but not trying to be something which it isn't. From start to finish it was spot on, service, staff, food, drinks, decor......

On a whim decided to have Sunday lunch out. So glad our first choice was fully booked. The White Swan was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The food was excellent, beautifully presented, and you did not come away from the table feeling that you could have eaten a bit more. Very good sized and generous portions, and the amount...

I booked an overnight stay at The White Swan whilst on the road up to Corby with my partner on a Friday afternoon. The booking was made solely over the internet via Booking.com. Booking was accepted and went through smoothly. At 5pm we arrived to find "Sorry we're closed" on the door, all the lights off and "Sorry, this number...

The staff were lovely and they tried!!!! However, the room had a smell of sewage, there was no hair dryer, the bed was not very comfortable but it was clean!! Sadly, after a very mediocre evening meal, the promise of an English breakfast was tempting! However, this was not to be! There was no gas on Sunday and therefore it...

Insist on top floor room, as the noise from the ceiling mounted music speakers in the bar/restaurent make it near impossible to hear the tv in the room I had. Breakfast was bland and not what I had ordered the previous evening.
