We stayed here for 2 nights, and could have easily stayed another 2. Exceptional staff are very friendly and accommodating. Loved the 3 course meals and enjoyed being seated with other travellers and sharing their stories. Fantastic lounge area with roaring open fire. Although some of the rooms are a bit tired, that does not matter. Very good value.

We were recommended this as a family friendly ski location from our book a batch hosts and we weren't disappointed. The family rooms are well appointed and comfortable (close enough to the bar and restaurant that our baby monitor still worked without having to go back to our room or stay in our room while our 2yo slept) The property...

We came here for a family birthday party and found a place that we will definitely return to. The surroundings are amazing, the staff very friendly and hospitable (and tolerant ... it was a party after all) and the food (though limited in choice) was outstanding given that the catering takes place in the middle of nowhere. I have rarely...

I stayed here with a friend to have a couple of days at Ohau Skifield in September 2014. We shared one of the twin rooms in the Huxley Wing. Beds were good, the on-suite was massive and great for getting dressed in. Lounging in the hot tubs watching the sun set on Mt Cook was sublime and the shared table...

Ohau (pronounced "O how") I love to ride at the Ohau ski fields. The staff at the lodge is very friendly and helpful. This is a good place to take your family. An adult ticket is $80. There is one chair that accesses beginner and intermediate terrain. They have a carpet and a Poma for beginners. Long groomed cruisers, small...

I have been staying Lake Ohau Lodge for 20 years + In that time, Mike and Louise have been our hosts and remembered our faces. Simply, there is nothing like the feeling you get at Ohau Lodge, anywhere. I started staying at Ohau in a group of 4 friends, all flying over from Oz on boys trips. Now everyone is...

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here on our school ski trip. Louise and Mike are wonderful hosts and have put together a great team of workers to provide for all needs when enjoying a ski holiday. The lodge is warm and inviting, with plenty of things to do: books, movies, games, spa and a friendly dining room and bar. Highly...
