Lovely friendly pub and as with a lot of others in the area our dog got a really warm welcome 😊 Lost count of the number of biscuits she was given 😊We only stopped in for a quick half but there was a good choice of ale on offer.Nice walks from the doorstep too.

This hotel is the pits, the carpets are flat greasy and dirty, the food is overpriced and basic. The bedrooms are grimy dark and miserable. There is no heating on (Dec ) we laid in a damp bed, and the room was absolutely freezing had to go to bed in a fleecie, and hid face under the covers, everything smells...

we came in for lunch at 13.10 pm There were only 4 people who were served, We asked for 2 glasses of Merlot wine, which we got, Then we ordered 2x gammon with egg and chips After waiting more then half an hour in which the cocky barkeeper disappeared all the time we asked when the food was coming as...

The rooms were clean and large, but since one of our rooms was over the pub, there was singing and noise until about 11:00 pm. We ate in the pub and had the best chicken/leek pie ever!! Hard to get wifi in the rooms, but it was in the pub area. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Great location just off the coast to coast, 1 mile from Reeth. Great staff, very welcoming. Great food offered on evening menu, and fab breakfast great start to the day. Lovely room, very comfy beds. And Yorkshire tea in the room which was great! Poor wifi but this isn't always a bad thing!! Would recommend for Coast to Coast!

Very good pub food, it was very busy when we visited but we did not wait long for service. Good choice of food beer and wine. Very good steak pie and the burger was excellent. Dogs allowed in the bar. Good position on the bridge at Grinton within walking distance of Reeth.

Run down, needs a clean - see photos - paint in rooms peeling off doors, bathroom prehistoric - dead vases of flowers etc etc...needs updating. Landlady unprofessional and unwelcoming. Shame as the actual pub is ok and the staff are good - our evening waitress was fantastic. Maybe pop in for a drink or meal, but don't stay here -...

Our room was a decent size which is more than can be said of the bathroom. While it wasn't quite the smallest I've ever encountered, use of the facilities would be challenging for anyone of ample girth. The sink was cracked and the extractor fan inadequate. No heated towel rail (no room for one) so towels didn't dry out. The...
