As we were staying on the Chiemsee, we came for the restaurant. Almost in the middle of nowhere, this restaurant draws patrons from all over Germany (based on the car regs outside). The food is first class, service is prompt and friendly and the place buzzes. €92 for 4 mains, beer/wine and coffees was very good value. As usual hereabouts,...

Lovely, traditional, family run hotel nestled in the hills of Bavaria. Very friendly people. Beautifully decorated, clean and very modern rooms. Absolutely incredible drinks and food, especially the pork which you have to smell bring prepared in the afternoon ! Always a relaxing stay. Bad internet but still my favourite hotel.

A lovely place to stay and eat too. The rooms are large and comfy and the staff are friendly and very welcoming. The restaurant does great food- tafelspitz, weiner schnitzel and dumplings are great. Decent Aperol spritz too. We chose a double room with a balcony- great views of the Bavarian country side and the balcony was a good size...

I need to preface this review by saying that my local Bavarian friends encouraged me to NOT write this review, because they didn't want too many people to find out about this local treasure. This was one of my absolute favorite places to have ever stayed anywhere in the world. First off -its a small Inn in a small village...

Perhaps we had set our hopes to high and it was just our bad luck that we arrived on a day when the hotel was fully booked, but our experience of staying at the Hirzinger was one disappointment after another. First we got a rather bemused welcome from a somewhat stressed owner, then we were not able to dine in...

Upon arriving here for a friends wedding reception i was instantly in love with the charm of this authentic Bavarian hotel. Traditional on the exterior, yet modern and fresh spacious rooms with open plan bathroom and beautiful view to the countryside. Great sunset. Very romantic. My favorite added extra touch were the two wooden hand carved heart shaped chairs on...

“The honeymoon suite looks amazing but lacks in comfort. Main problems are no WLAN or tea/coffee making facilities, very uncomfortable spelt pillows and bedding, a bath that takes half an hour to fill and an amazing looking shower which on the morning we were there did not work.”
