We had a very enjoyable stay here. Two nights, and sadly the one whole day was VERY wet and windy during a patch other otherwise brilliant highland weather. Room very large. Bed very comfortable. Brilliant views from bedroom and from sitting room. Extras included home made the best cherry chocolate fudge (sadly not there for the second night, even the...

Thoroughly enjoyed stay here at Tighard. Well presented house packed with beautiful features, an eclectic collection of furniture and lots of interesting objets, many of them very personal to the owners. Lovely and peaceful with stunning views over the islands. Every whim catered for from honesty bar stocked with interesting gins and whiskies to home made afternoon tea delights. Breakfast...

I had high expectations of my trip to Canna. Not only the island is breathtaking. Tighard House is perfect. The furnishing and interior design was done thoroughly and with love for house and future guests. The kindness and hospitality of Colin and David leaves absolutely nothing to be desired! We have just returned from a three night stay at Tighard House and can confirm that it fully deserves all the rave reviews provided since Colin and David took over. The location is gorgeous with wonderful views over Sanday to Rum. The house is a lovely Victorian building, modernised with love and attention to every detail. It is an uphill...

Very comfortable and of a high quality in all respects. Colin and David were excellent hosts with an eye to the details that matter, a wealth of local and community information and the knack of making you feel relaxed in their house. We are currently thinking about how and when to return.

Like previous reviewers, I found all the hugely positive comments to be an understatement - Tighard has got to be one of the top guest houses on the planet. Colin and David really know how to deliver a five star experience, all the way from the welcome as you disembark from the boat until the minute you leave the island....

Gemma Gaugan's review says in a very eloquent way all the things I would say about my stay at Tighard. I had to travel to Canna for work and as soon as the ferry arrived and we were picked up by Colin and David I knew this visit was going to be special. My room Sanday had a king size...

This place is stunning, Colin and David deliver a faultless experience. The attention to detail paid to their house takes you back to a grander age. And as others say below, the food is amazing! I travel loads for work, too much sometimes and see very very few places like Tighard. Come to Canna, stay here and enjoy this unique...

Don't be fooled - what others have written here is not tripadvisor hyperbole, but is absolutely accurate; Tighard really is this special. I'm often sceptical about some of the more gushing online reviews about places - but in this case the plaudits are amply warranted and more. My partner and I spent three days staying at Tighard with Colin and...
