Stayed for 1 night and will definitely return. Food and wine in the restaurant was fantastic. The best tarte tatin I have ever eaten! Francis was kind enough to pick us up from the train station and drop us of in the morning. Lovely traditional hotel. Comfortable room. Highly recommended! Charming, relaxed vibe.

Getting there was quite a task but absolutely worth it. The owner of the hotel was a gem of a person. Never met someone quite like him. He sent his daughter to pick us up from the train station after our long and tiring journey( cause we missed a train in between). Arriving at the hotel he greeted us at...

We spoke English, which apparently was too much for the Host and Hostess to understand. Even the smallest task such as describing the menu for dinner was just short of like playing a game of sharade's. we eventually grew tired of this process and did our own thing for dinner and breakfast, which was paid for in advance. Learn to...

Further proof of English imperialism when the whole world has to speak English, as if the entire planet was their empire. Sorry for you, but personally when I travel I make the effort to speak the language of the country where I go and if I don't know I do not blame my guests not to talk about mine. Personally...

just a killing joke to warn you for addiction. This is my best family hotel experience in years ! Francis and his team, especially Jacques, have a "je ne sais qiou" joie de vivre that makes you feel at home at ease and very welcome. Combined with delicious creative cuisine improvisation and clean, nice, warmly decorated interior and rooms makes...

It's a historic hotel in a alpine village. I liked the decoration, the atmosphere, the mountains view, the breakfast with breads and hot chocolates, the silence in the night. But you have to know that it's an old hotel, then you have to carry your luggage upstairs and somethings doesn't work so well, like the door lock and toilet...

.. and I certainly did. The hotel was bought in 2007 by a multilingual French-Swiss art dealer from Paris (Francois Barlier) who put all his good taste into the renovation of this traditional hotel. As he is also personally present, he is not only nice to talk to, but guarantees that "things" are kept in order and as they should...

Spent 5 days at Hotel du Pillon for a work team retreat. Combined skiing and seminar / work shops. It was perfect for us to "own" the place for a few days. Easy, however a little bit time consuming to get there from Geneva Airport with fast train to Aigle and then local train to Les Diablerets. The owner of...

This served as a very comfortable base for a week of guided off-piste skiing. Peaceful location with great mountain views. Spacious, comfortable, well appointed rooms with free Wi-Fi. Cozy log fire, and interesting objects d'art. Traditional Swiss mountain food (so a lot of cheese!). Francis was very obliging with any requests or queries.

This was my fifth time staying at this hotel. Francis, the owner, really makes you feel at home. Between the staff and the other visitors, I always meet people who are interesting and friendly (even though my French is very poor). There is a new resident cat in the hotel, who is delightful. Also, I was travelling with my dog...
