We stayed two nights at the end of December as my Christmas gift to my partner. I went for the glamping Pod and we brought the dog with us. The Pod was fantastic, had everything we needed, and all the little touches were lovely. But the stand out highlight of the visit was absolutely the wood fired hot tub, which was perfect for a cold winter night. I would definitely come back!

Stayed in the Pinder log cabin. Everything you could need (and more) was provided - including a set of blankets, bowls and towels for our dogs. The scenery is lovely and lots of good walks in the area. The hot tub and outside space was fabulous. Really friendly and helpful owners and nice to see attention to caring for the environment. Can thoroughly recommend.

Thank you David for the warm welcome, hospitality and tour upon our arrival. The Swallow Pod was warm, cosy, spacious and fully equipped with everything we needed. Fresh coffee, eggs, cookies and home made bread made within the pod made us feel welcome, with beautiful views directly outside the door. We will definitely be returning!

I booked a short break at Hoe Grange as a surprise for my husband 50th birthday. We visited with our kids and dog. The cabin was really lovely and didn't disappoint. It was dog friendly, secure and safe. The hot tub was a nice touch too which we all enjoyed. Communication was excellent from the hosts both before and during our stay and they kindly allowed to stay as long as we needed on our final day due to snow fall. The welcome pack was a nice touch with homemade biscuits, milk, eggs, butter, tea, coffee and homemade bread all of which were delicious! The cabin was a very warm which was great and the bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in! Our children are 19 and 28 so Wi-Fi is important to them, but unfortunately in our cabin the signal was quite poor. That would be the only negative I would say about our stay. I on the other hand, was quite grateful for the digital detox! We made our own breakfast and lunch and for dinner we ordered a Chinese from Birds Nest which we collected and it was delicious. We also ordered from Maazi Indian on the 2nd night and again that was lovely. However if you do want to cook their are plenty of facilities in the cabin to enable you to do that. Great location, beautiful surroundings, a variety of games which we thoroughly enjoyed playing and an all round lovely holiday destination. We will definitely be visiting again next year!

Thanks for the fabulous review - sounds like you had the perfect family get together - so important to spend quality time with loved ones. WiFi is not as fast as in the city as we are a rural location, and we are always looking for ways to increase download speeds, but as you say sometimes it's good to have a digital detox!
