Stayed for 3 days last week with a family group. Had the best experience with the staff.Choose your room on whatever side . Has plenty of sitting areas to chill. Location is ideal to visit the city. Walking distance from the train station. very convenient. Plenty of restaurants in the neighborhood
Lovely room. Secure parking at a charge and some nice outside space. However whilst there was a safe in the room there was no fridge and no aircon. So choice was window open onto noisy road or hot. Clearly the hotel knew this as ear plugs were provided at the bedside! Nice staff and good location to explore Yverdon-les-Bains but we are unlikely to return.
We really enjoyed our stay, starting from the very friendly welcome, the fact that we could park our bikes in a special bike garage over the beautiful courtyard, nicely designed rooms to the copious breakfast that we could take in the courtyard. The only thing that we missed was a couple of centimetres of height for the shower head... bit otherwise everything was close to perfection! Merci!
Clean, comfortable, quiet room; centrally-located with short walk to restaurants and train station. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. Parking was convenient in the gated parking lot. We highly recommend this for a stay in Yverdon
stayed for one night and find very good nice hotel to stay, some road noise is present but is understandable since hotel is in very heart of town. Staff is helpful and breakfast was sufficient for my standard.
We stayed in a top floor (triple) room for the weekend. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and spoke English well. Their recommendations for food were excellent too. Cioa Cioa just round the corner for awesome pizza and Bar du Coq for Italian food and drinks. Location is central, and there is an easily accessible and safe Carpark in the hotel grounds. I would definitely go back there if in the area! Thank you.
We stayed at Hotel du Theatre because it seemed to be one of the best, more affordable options in the area. And it was great! The rooms were clean, modern and quiet. Beds super comfortable. Small property, which was cozy, not somewhere you'd lounge around all day. No restaurant on site though they have a modest breakfast available. Overall, if you are in town for business, or a quick stop through the region, highly recommended.
We stayed two nights in May. Owners were very flexible when we needed to change our dates. Hotel is a nice mix of old and modern, and the rooms are very comfortable. Breakfast was good and owners offered good advice on local cycling routes.
Taking the boat from Neuchatel was a pleasant way to arrive, although it is a 15 minute walk from the jetty to the hotel. However, the train station is only a couple of minutes away which is probably the more usual arrival point. This was a good quality hotel, run on a hands-on basis by the owner, helped by friendly staff. We had one of half a dozen rooms that led off from the courtyard (a pleasant sitting area). The rooms had their own deck which gave added privacy, and would be really nice if they replaced weeds with plants. The room had been modernised and was well equipped and comfortable. A particular benefit was the wire screen that could be electrically lowered to keep out the midday sun and sliding doors which let in the fresh air. However, the owners have gone over the top with a very complicated lighting system that kept us amused for our three day stay.…
The hotel consists of an ensemble of three buildings on the same premises. We stayed in the part that was redecorated in 2015, and it is gorgeous. Old and new blend in so very well. The room at the back (facing the courtyard) was very quiet (although the hotel is situated on a busy road). Everything in Yverdon is within easy reach: city centre, lakeside, caveaux (should you be interested in wine). On the negative side, our room was quite small and pricey, and the breakfast buffet is okay-ish, but nothing to write home about. Staff at reception is professionally friendly and was nice to deal with.
