Pontresina is a cute, attractive ski town near St. Moritz. Engadinerhof is a freindly German couple owned Hotel for ski travelers - supposedly!! To me it is more like an hotel for retired elderlies who enjoy to be in a nostalgic atmosphere. Rooms are old, lack of most of the components that should be in place in a vacation hotel....

I highly recommend the Hotel Engadinerhof experience. Our 2 night stay was a wonderful introduction to the Engadine area. The people staying here, were mostly repeat customers who have been coming for years. The building has great history and I like the character of the rooms. We had a room facing the back and it was quiet at night. Clients...

06. - 13. July 2013. This is a place to feel at home, really at home ! Bertram Hissung, the co-owner, has put his heart and that of his family into it. There were no negative aspects at all starting from the price (all transport up to the mountains were included), the location, the staff, the food (Mövenpick ice-cream and...

This hotel has strange policies. If you reserve it for 2 nights, as I did, you get the answer that they don't book less than 3 nights. Otherwise it is too much administrative hazzle. I only want to stay one day in Pontresina. I was welcome if I booked another extra night. My room could be left empty for 150...

We had a great 3-night stay at the Hotel Engadinerhof. There are many great things about staying at this hotel but one of the best is the staff--everyone was very attentive including the owner. Herr Hissung made sure to welcome each guest personally. We found that it was to our advantage to purchase the half-board as the meals were excellent...
