Very friendly staff but that's about the only positive we could find here. The moment you enter the premises you are hit by a very strong smell - something that reminds you of old carpets. So you have to open the windows immediately upon arrival but the smell is difficult to get rid off.

We went at the end of the season so the hotel was pretty much empty. The room was fine - clearly hadn't been done up in a while, with an old-fashioned avocado bathroom! It was comfy without being nice, bed was good which is key. Breakfast was surprisingly good given that there were only two of us staying - bread,...

Quite disappointing I'm affraid. Stayed here with a group of friends last summer. Its quite dated but I expected that having seen the website. The staff however were pretty miserable and our half board set meal was dire. Breakfast was no better either. On the plus side, Andermatt is lovely so my advice if you book would be to eat...

When with our friends for a 3 day stay for some winter activities - we had plenty of fun - but the hotel should be ashamed by themselves. This is NOT a hotel is more likely a hostel. The rooms are straight down terrible. The first thing that greets you is a sharp chemical smell - deriving from numerous bags of...

What a surprise the Bergidyll is. It is a traditional family run hotel. Conveniently close to the railway station (a couple of hundred meters). A pleasant place to stay. We were charged a reasonable rate - a pleasant surprise - very good value for what you get. When we arrived we were given a room with a balcony - outdoor...

My wife and I stayed two nights in March 2012, for skiing. I have stayed there occasionally over thirty years. It remains good value (for Andermatt), traditional in style, and convenient for the station. The pleasant walk to the cable car is ten minutes, past the church; the main street is five minutes away..

Love this place, 3rd time we have stayed and never said anything until now but they have everything, a bar, a restaurant with a pizza oven, and a little town with the most beautiful scenery all around it. The pizza was the best we had in the 3 weeks we were in Italy. They speak Italian, German, and English so...

This modest hotel is really all one needs to put one's head down for a stay in this very typically Swiss mountain village. It'd be great for either a Summer rambling holiday, to stop off whilst negotiating the nearby high mountain passes driving through into Italy, or for a short Winter ski-ing break. Its a family run, very welcoming chalet...
