It was started way back in 1945. It has stood test of time and successfully transformed from a small Hotel to one of the leading brands in Daman over a period of more than 6 decades. It is the only Pure Vegetarian Hotel in Daman serving authentic Cuisines namely North Indian, South Indian, Chinese, Continental and most popular Guajarati Thali in its Kasumbo Restaurant. The other Restaurant Pithora is a Sea Facing Roof Top Terrace Restaurant with Village Ambience. Pithora Restaurant is popular for its Chaats, Fast Food and Kathiawadi Thali amongst others. Due to persistent public demand for Non Vegetarian Food, Hotel Gurukripa was started in 1979, with a Multi Cuisine Restaurant Daman Delite, serving authentic local Sea Food along with Indian, Chinese and Continental Cuisines. Subsequently this Restaurant has been renovated to give it a Galaxy Ambience with Twinkling Stars.Hotel Gurukripa & Hotel Sovereign also provide specialised Outdoor Catering and Banquet Services. Room was ok type. Hot water 24/7. Felt like old rooms, needs renovation. For one day stay, this is good, only for bachelors. BIGGEST PLUS POINT IS THE MORNING BREAKFAST, WHICH WAS SO TASTY AND YUMMY AND UNLIMITED. I DIDN'T HAVE LUNCH WHOLE DAY AFTER HAVING BREAKFAST AT 8.00 AM. Manager is very cooperative and gentle.

After paying 4250/- for 1 day not worth at all , Room was a bit clean but all inside equipment was too old, while passing through reception to lift is too bad smell was coming from drainage small and pipes were there, Water was coming cold , After ordered food 3 times I have to waited, madam on reception behaviour was not good also. If you are paying this amount you will get better hotels surrounding and better also.

Room service is very slow. There is no phone in the room. No wifi in the room. Wifi only works at the reception. No mobile network in the room. Check in time was 12noon. We reached the hotel by 1.15 and still had to wait 15 minutes to get in the room.

No mini fridge in room as shown on website. Shift managers were not very customer friendly. Room and bathroom needed maintenance. Limited parking facilities. However food was very good. Support staff was also quite cooperative.

In Room Features they mention- Mini fridge but there is no fridge and even they not even provide to use there hotel fridge to put anything. And also at midnight they came for collecting food bill, we are in half sleep but they insist to pay at midnight only. What we are going to runaway without paying your food bill? Even though morning breakfast it's not upto mark. Good for stay but not for service.

Overall it was good for the hotel price. Breakfast was good with food options. Helpful staff. Some rooms are missing a mini fridge, so that needs to be provided. Sometimes the lift is working and sometimes under maintenance. Network problem in the hotel for some reason and no wifi available in the hotel , that should be provided. 2 min walking distance to the beach.

Though the location is great for any kind of tourist spot like having the hotel room near to the seashore, the room was smarming with cockroaches, though after complaining the management, there was no control over them. Also there was no wifi available.

The room was big with all toiletries and essential items provided. Only issue that there were few cockroaches. The food was delicious and restaurant ambience was beautiful. The complimentary breakfast they provided had a good spread and nice taste.

Rooms are good in terms of size, amenities etc. although refrigerator was not available in any of the room we booked but it was mentioned as one of the amenities. Restaurant is bad. Food was costly, served late and cold.
