Absolute pleasure to visit and stay at Camp Bir Billing. If one wants to experience actual travel, away from the hustle bustle of a typical tourist town, Camp is where you go. The property is secluded but feels safe. The tents are cosy, well furnished and extremely comfortable. There's hot water and bed warmers to keep the cold away. The food is absolutely amazing and prepared fresh. The dining area is very well designed, it gives you an authentic local vibe and the food carries that flavor too. The caretaker and cook are fantastic people and are quick to help and indulge. We had stayed near the landing site for a couple of days and visited the cafes around. Though fun we felt like we're in middle of Delhi with the food and ambience. Camp Bir Billing was where we finally settled in and experienced the most stunning Bir and Billing sunsets. I will heartily recommend this if you want a different dimension to your trip to Bir. …
A secluded laid back place perfect to unwind and rejuvenate. The hospitality provided by caretakers was amazing. Food was excellent. The approach to the place is bit tricky and involve about 1.5 kms of off roading but once you reach you will definitely love the place. They also provide driver to people who are not comfortable driving to the place. It was overall a perfect short stay. Strongly recommended 👌
To the entire staff, the management a very big thankyou to make the stay so wonderful. Each one was very cooperative. The highlight of place being whatever meal offered is FRESHLY COOKED then and there.A superrr location and eco-friendly tents... Highly highly recommended...a relaxing holiday . Thankyou to Mr Surinder and Mr Atul!! Sunset viewing was mind blowing too.
We had a wonderful time. It's isolated so ideal place to chill and immerse oneself in nature. Though we did a couple of day trips to Dharamshala and Barot Valley, most of the times we relaxed in our well appointed tents, sitting on the porch enjoying the view of the snow clad Dhauladhars. The staff was polite and efficient and catered to our every requirement. Al in all a great stay, will visit again and definitely recommend to the discerning traveller.
Road for this hotel was not at good need improvement on road Hotel was very nice Service was best Food was up to mark Front office staff was very helpful and well maner Room was very nice view form room was top class between nature Will must recommend are family and friends
An amazing place with a breathtaking view; the best location in Bir. We loved the tents that were equipped with all the necessary. Service staff was warm. Owner was friendly. Food was always customised and great to the tongue and tummy. We will surely visit someday again.
Nestled right in the lap of nature - CBB is a unique experience. The luxury tents are very comfortable, great food - prepared fresh (yes each and every item is prepared after you order, from scratch), great service - with a smile. If you are a nature lover, THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY - at least once in your LIFETIME. You will woken up in the morning by the melodious music of the birds ( lots of them) - see the majestic view of the Dhauladhar ranges (just outside your tent) while breathing fresh oxygen laded air (no pollution) -- while sipping your morning tea. I was up at 5am each single day - and could see the moon setting and then the snow capped Dhauladhar ranges being illuminated by the rising sun - ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT VIEW - SOMETHING I WILL CHERISH FOR A LONG, LONG TIME. There are many many walking trails from CBB - Atul and the folks will guide you based on your interest and fitness levels. The kucha road going upto the camp (last 1.5Km) is a bit challenging - but a 'good condition' car will easily go up - just needs a lit bit of experience. Bonfires are arranged in the evenings (weather permitting) - great time to unwind (under the stars) with some great food. Bhanu is an excellent cook - anda bhurji, shallow fried trout, stuffed mushrooms, aaloo payaz paranthas are truly outstanding - best you can get anywhere! …
The road to reach camp bir billing is scarry, completely broken so the start was a bit shaky. But once you reach up, the warmth of the people just make you feel at home. Atul, the partner at the hotel was a great help and caring. Bhanu their chef cooks some GREAT food. They Puri bhaji and Rajma and some of their local foods is a must try! Dint get as good puri bhaji in any other place in HP. The tents are very luxurious, clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were a big surprise, got water via a solar heater even at 645am. You should ask for tents with a good view, not all tents have a good view. The place unfortunately does not have a lot of running place or activities for the kids. Atul also arranged for paragliding for my 5 year old and he had a blast - he went twice! Would surely recomend this place for anyone going to billing. Stay 3 nights just for the food. …
"Camp Bir Billing is one and the only best places I have stayed in during my visit to the town in past 6 years" . The place is blend of history, legacy and adventure . 100 + Year of ancestral house been converted into dining area that gives you a mesmerizing views while you dig into amazing curated himachali cuisines made by local chef. The touch of past doesn't anyway compromise on the luxury of the stay . The stay in luxury tent just add awe and aura of the place . This tiny town gives you breath taking views ( Don't miss the sunset and don't forget to pack your SLR ) , In the lap of nature experience a home away from home
It is a part of Prakriti alay resort. Staying in tents is itself a different kind of experience. One who love to stay far from city but want to be in touch with local atmosphere would love to stay in these tents. Redesigned local homes for stay. Very creative work done. Give it a try. You will love it
