We recently concluded a wonderful 5 day trip with 2 days spent in Amritsar and 3 in Bir Billing in Himachal. The soothing Shabad Kirtans at the incomparable Sri Harmandir Sahib Golden temple and inspiring BSF at the Wagah border ceremony interspersed with delectable dhaba food comprised our Amritsar trip. Stay was at the comfortable Welcomhotel Raja Sansi with a lovely breakfast and a game of badminton thrown in during our stay. The only spoiler was the stubble burning we saw all over the city outskirts outskirts that needs emergency attention. And then we headed to Camp Bir Billing, a luxury glamping site, clearly one of the highest stay places in Bir for tourists by a distance with breathtaking views of the Valley and the Dhauladhar mountain ranges. A elegantly designed property with all amenities, home style food and a staff (including trek guides that give you a close peek in the local life) who cannot say no! The paragliding experience was Wow and smooth as butter. We all wanted to go for longer flights that go over the mountain ranges the next day, but November season does not provide the thermal currents to do so. Bir Billing has a youthful vibe with some interesting cafes nearby to the landing site. But while we did go to a couple of those, if you have to make your trip memorable, you have to savour the impeccacle hospitality and fireside conversations with Atul Katoch, the owner-manager and amazing homestyle snacks and meals that you cannot have enough of at CBB. Camp Bir Billing and Parasailing pair wonderfully for a perfect Bir trip!

CAMP BIR BILLING OR CBB IN ABBREVIATED FORM. THIS IS NOT A PROMOTION BUT MY EXPERIENCE. This is the second time I have booked CBB. The property is nestled in thick forest with a wide expanse of awesome views both during day and night. The forest is just behind you for adventure activities like hiking and trekking both short and long. The Swiss tent accommodation is extremely comfortable and cosy. The food is delicious and served with affection. The owner Mr Atul is a very helpful, gregarious and charming person. You can watch paragliding landing as you sip a cup of tea in the evening. A MUST STAY PLACE OF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR COMFORT, ADVENTURE AND A GREAT EXPERIENCE.

A breathtaking view of the snow capped Dhauladhar Range is all it takes to lift up your spirits. And, Camp Bir Billing is just the place which gives you the thrill of being so close to nature. An amalgamation of a comfortable stay and conventional Himachali cuisine at Camp Bir Billing is a dream holiday with friends and family. A big thanks to Atul and his team for making our stay even more memorable. KUDOS and keep it up CBB!!!

As John Muir said, “Keep close to Nature’s heart and break clear away, once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean.” Every expression becomes reality the moment you set foot at Camp Bir Billing. The cool breeze, cosy Bon fire, delicious meals, comfortable stay, every aspect amounts to AN ECSTATIC EXPERIENCE….

It’s a must stay for luxury glamping in Bir Billing area. The best view in Bir along with the best staff I met in my 10 day Himachal trip. The property houses a 125 year old building which still stands strong and is being used as the restaurant where you can enjoy Indian style seating. The food was absolutely delicious. The camps are very well thought and they come with all the facilities you would think off to be comfortable on an edge of the mountain. Only thing to think about visiting here is that the property comes with a bit of stair climbing up and down. So be mindful. Also the road leading to the property is through a bit of forest (last 1.5 Kms). That drive can be difficult, so try to be in the property before sunset.

CBB BIR REVIEW  If you want a really cozy, comfortable stay while camping, CBB Bir is The place to go.  From A to Z it was a surprise, what to talk about the Swiss tents loaded with comfort and warmth on the winter night of 29th December that we all visited.  We dropped our own car near Monkey Camp at Sansal Road  near Bir, from where we were picked up by the vehicles of CBB.,since the last about 2 km patch is quite tricky . Once we reached, it was all  an existence in heaven  ,what with the warmly heated tents, spick and span, cute looking, the scene through the Window was mesmerising.  The evening was dotted by bonfire lit in their Courtyard. The 150 year old Himachal house had been retained in its basic structure, adapted throughout by the modernised necessities.  Kitchen looked so hygienic and modernised, yet the ancient culture was preserved on the whole.  The deliciously prepared soup added a flavour to that unforgettable evening around the bonfire, and later enriched by the sumptuous dinner served in their dining area,in the ethnic Himachali style.  Rain Gods smiled at the appropriate time when we were already snuggled up in our cosy electrified beds and with  the AC turned at 24. The sound of the rain on the tents was itself heavenly.  Great experience, not to be missed if you are fond of travel and stay with a marked difference.! A big salute to the conceptualisation and implementation thereof by the Owner Mr.Atul, a Himachali, who with all his humility and politeness can't be really connected as being the owner of such a unique camping resort.  Hats off !!! CBB BIR That's the place to go to !!!!

This was one of the nicest places I have stayed in for a long time! I was sorely in need of rest after a demanding period of work in a very challenging environment in India, where I had travelled to from my home in America. Staying at Camp Bir Billing gave me everything I needed. The location is gorgeous, with views of mountains, forests, and the valley. There is a lot of nature, silence, and space. The room was very cozy and clean. We visited Camp Bir billing during the Winter when the nights were quite cold, but the showers had plenty of hot water and the beds had heating pads which made us feel warm and cozy even in the Winter. The staff were extremely kind and caring and looked after our every need with warmth and friendliness, without ever feeling imposing. By the end of our week there, the staff honestly felt more like family. They took care of us with such generosity and I truly appreciate their kindness. The café connected to Camp Bir Billing served delicious, nourishing, and healthy food. I hope to return to Camp Bir Billing in the near future and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone considering it.
