There cannot be a better place to stay in bir than colonel's resort. Not only will you find yourself in a most picturesque environment, this place also ticks all the boxes you need for a comfortable stay. Rooms are clean, comfortable, with warm interiors and very well equipped. The food served here also deserves mention as most of the ingredients used are grown in house in their farm so all organic and healthy. It is sure to delight the most seasoned veg or non veg pallete. It is also quite central and all the hiking spots are close by. If you need to step out far the transport company the resort ties up with is very reliable with clean cars and decent drivers. What stands out the most is the hospitality of Colonel J P Singh .He is a veteran when it comes to suggesting

Just returned from a memorable trip to Bir Billing. Memorable in multiple ways - the thrills of paragliding, the laid-back small-town life, the lovely countryside, sumptuous food or a luxurious stay at Colonel’s Resort. Tucked away in village Chogan, close to Bir, Colonel’s Resort is a 25-acre expanse of greens amidst beautiful mountains – just the right place for peace and tranquility. Set up by Colonel JP Singh, the resort has been designed tastefully by his architect wife. The 10 rooms in the Standard, Deluxe and Super Deluxe categories are spacious, airy and fitted with all amenities to make your stay comfortable. The restaurant provided fresh and tasty buffets forf breakfast, lunch and dinner. What’s remarkable is that the Colonel’s entirely family is devoted to

We had the opportunity of spending five days at Colonel's Resort. Our stay was extremely comfortable and relaxing. The resort made all the arrangements for us, right from airport pickup at Dharamshala and the drop. They even organised the Paragliding for us, including pick and drop from the resort. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and tastefully done. The staff was cordial and helpful. The room opened out to green exteriors, with ample fruit bearing trees. The food was sumptuous, hygienic and tasty. The icing on the cake was the personal touch by Col and Mrs JP Singh, who interacted with all the guests regularly, to make them comfortable. Overall a nostalgic sojourn. I would definitely like to stay again and would highly recommend to everyone visiting Bir.

I had this amazing holiday at the Colonels Resort. I had informed the Colonel of my arrival and he most painstakingly guided me to his resort. I later on saw him actually guiding guests after they left the resort. That is the kind of fine detail he goes into. The cottages of the resort are located in a pear orchard and the trees were laden with fruits and all kinds of birds visit the orchards- a bird watchers delight. The vegetables they serve at the resort are harvested from their garden and they are organic. The resort is surrounded by the Colonels Tea Gardens and you can get some pretty exotic tea at the resort. The garden if full of flowers roses petunia nasturtium and the most amazing Hydrangea. If you are fond of butterfly watching this is a place you should visit! The
