I traveled to Bir along with my wife & 10 year old daughter. We had booked the place from May 19th to May 24th' 2018. Let me share some positives first – I would have given 4 stars for just the place. • Place is well maintained • Lot of open space for star gazing • Food is good Now let’s get to some negatives – Zero rating for customer service. • Poor customer service • Rigid policies, zero flexibility – Restaurant timings, closing time of main gate • Toiletries are not refilled – in spite of requesting it In my booking email I had clearly mentioned 3 of us are travelling and the price quoted to us by Col JP Singh was not negotiated upon. However, we were surprised when the room assigned to us had 2 single beds in it. We managed for initial 2 nights post which we requested…
Colonel and his wife are very very nice people. They are there at every meal making sure we are comfortable. Colonel's special desert is something everyone must taste. Rooms are big, clean and comfortable. This place is only a few kilometers from the paragliding landing sight. Colonel's suggestion of paragliding was very good too.
We visited Bir at the end of May when we were sweltering in the Mumbai heat.Bir was cool and soothing. Colonel’s Resort was in one word- Amazing! It’s a boutique resort that is family run. The way we were royally treated by the Colonel was a treat.His wife Mrs Pratibha,runs the fnb and is brilliant at details. Vikramaditya looks after the kids camp and helped us to take trails n treks nearby. Flying in the clouds was a dream come true. If you go to Bir,only stay with the Colonel!!
I had a lovely stay. Beautiful place, very good food and very nice people. Rooms were very comfortable. Good choice if you are travelling solo, would recommend to friends going for paragliding. Would like to go again and explore more places around.
Nice clean placeanaged by retired Colonel and his famiky. Though most of the rooms don't have good view except of green trees surrounded. Good walking track around of about 8 kms through tea estate is an experience. Two nights should be maximum stay here. Food is good and often made as per our requirements
