I ordered a soup and a bottle still water. When I had to pay they want 5:85 euro for the water! More than the cost of the soup. That's an ugly trick and that makes me angry. I will never eat there again!!

The only reason for for the 4 stars is because they don't have kettles in the room to make tea and because the Pillows were AWFUL! So in the mountains, when it's sub zero temps, would be good to make a cup of tea. The bed was pretty hard so we had some tight muscles in the morning! But the...

The room was plain. The bathroom small. The shower tiny. We had an upper floor room with balcony facing the river. The main road through town is between the hotel and river. We like to leave the windows open but found the traffic began very early and was loud despite being on an upper floor. Excellent breakfast. A few blocks...

Dear guest, Thank you for your comment and for taking the time to write it. It is nice to hear that you are so stoked about our excellent breakfast buffet. The more we are sorry that you were not fully satisfied with your room . As you stated, our house is centrally located in Cochem’s old town and directly on...

We stayed overnight at the Karl Muller in Cochem as part of a 2-week driving tour in Germany to see smaller, picturesque German towns which still had well preserved town centers. Cochem itself is a charming old city with a beautiful castle on the hill. We were there in mid-October and the leaves were beginning to change color, making for...

Dear Roger, We want to thank you for this elaborate and nice comment. Good to hear that you enjoyed your round trip to different old litte towns in Germany to which Cochem with its picturesque old city center and the ancient castle definitely belongs. It is also nice to read that you liked our house and our delicious hot and...

We had a fourth floor, riverfront room. It had a nice balcony but it was a little cool to sit outside and drink wine. Parking coordinated with the hotel is not close (5 minute walk) but not an issue. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was great for a couple. Great location and area on the Mosel River.

This hotel is location in a perfect location for exploring Cochem. The rooms are fine with the normal comment about how small the showers are, but since that is typical for Europe not a problem. Our room was modern, clean and perfect for us. Our friends had a river room with a balcony so we spent happy hour there watching...

Dear guest, Thank you for this fine review. We are happy that you liked our house and your rooms too, although their size is not comparable with that of hotel rooms in the US. And that you enjoyed our hot and cold breakfast buffet that much, since we set special importance on offering a wide range of choices in addition...

Great location fronting onto Mosel River in town Nice balcony if you get one. Breakfast is wonderful. We didn't have dinner there, but looked nice. Parking was a bit of a challenge. Overall we'd do it again.

Superb riverside location with beautiful panoramic views. The Old Town, many restaurants, cafes and bars are right beside the hotel. Choose a river view room for spacious balconies and wonderful views. Generous breakfast included in price. Rooms are spacious with large desks, seating areas, plenty of power outlets. All hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I hope to return...

We spent two nights here on a weekend in late September. If you are looking for a quiet, restful weekend, be sure to avoid Cochem. There were thousands of visitors and the town was a madhouse. The Hotel Karl Mueller has a very fortunate location right on the river in the very middle of the action. The terrace restaurant offers...

Thank you for taking the time to write a comment. Too bad, that our house did not appeal to you because of its rather traditional style. If you are looking for a more modern one, maybe our partner hotel Cochemer Jung, which is located on the Moselle promenade just 100 m away, will be an option for your next stay...

The 3-star superior hotel Karl Müller is located in Cochem, directly on the Moselle promenade and thus in the middle of the old town. The 44 double rooms have a television with satellite reception, a telephone and a minibar. The bathrooms are equipped with shower and WC as well as a hairdryer. In addition, some rooms have a desk or a seating area. The rooms have either a view of the old town or the Moselle valley. In the hotel restaurant with an outdoor terrace you will be offered regional cuisine, which you can enjoy within the half-board as a three-course meal or à la carte. Take a walk through the Moselle Valley and visit, for example, the Kapuzinerberg, where a former monastery with the monastery church from the 16th century stands! Also, the Reichsburg, the landmark of Cochem village, is worth a visit. The mighty structure is more than 100 meters above the river.
