My husband and I arrived in Cochem after 8 hours and 4 changes of trains. We were exhausted and cranky as we bumped our suitcases over the cobbles in the direction of B&B Cochem. It was a Friday and raucous crowds were everywhere. When we turned the corner and looked up Schlossstrasse, all I could do was laugh at the...

We so enjoyed our 3 night stay at B&B Cochem! We had a large room that faced the street but was surprisingly quiet. Perfect location to walk everywhere. It is on a steep slope of a street, and the car park is further up the slope, and a bit of a hike. Breakfast was wonderful every morning and the host...

This was our first stop on our two week vacation. We were jet lagged and appreciated Bas's friendly face picking us up from the train station. This B&B is located right in old town on the street that leads to Cochem's castle. There are only 5 rooms and it has multiple floors with lots of stairs. (Helps work off the...

Bas met us at the train station an brought us to the B&B. Excellent location on the road to the castle and within walking distance (although with hills!) from anything you would want to do in Cochem. We had a top floor room which was definitely warm with the high temps we encountered, but open windows and a ceiling fan...

We stayed for 3 nights at this B&B. The room was convenient with even a separate sitting room. The bathroom was a bit small but everything was in good working order and clean. The one thing that bothered us a little bit was the "air refresher" in the hallway which gave off a very strong smell. Fortunately there was no...

Let me say, it is not the most pittoresk or beautiful B&B, but I still rate it excellent. First of all, the place is impeccable clean all around and the rooms are well equipped and spacious enough. The summit of our stay however was an excellent breakfast every day. Plenty of types of breads, eggs, meats and cheeses and a...

We stayed for two nights last summer, and I have been meaning to write ever since. Bas was a gracious host, who took care of us like we were personal friends or relatives coming for a visit. He took us to and from the train station, made us feel very welcome. He takes great pride in keeping the place clean...

A friend and I enjoyed two nights in a suite with a roof top view of the river out one window and the charming street out the other. Bas went above and beyond meeting and returning us at the train station, even packing us a lovely breakfast for the train when we needed to leave early. Breakfast is ample in...

We had an amazing time at this B&B! The location was perfect and the room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. But I think what impressed us most was the exceptional service. We were greeted on foot by the owner who had seen lost tourists driving up and down the street! Although we were late for checking in, he took...

All the reviews praising this B&B are accurate. We stayed here two nights and would have stayed longer if they had not been booked. Bas and Brigitte are wonderful hosts. You may have to climb a few stars to your spotlessly clean and slightly small room, but it's worth it. The beds are comfortable, the shower ok. The breakfast is...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The B&B is situated in a unique area in the old town quarter on the footpath towards the famous Imperial Castle alongside wine cellars and vineyards. Just a few steps away from the pedestrian area with restaurants and bars, various sights and the pleasant promenade along the Moselle and his famous riverboats. From this point you can easily explore the highlights of Cochem or any of the variety of attractions on offer in the region including: wine, art & culture, water sports & relaxation, a nature lover’s paradise for hikers, cyclists, motorcyclists with many interesting paths. We also highly recommend attending one of the popular wine festivals, a trip to the Eifel Volcano, shopping & culture in the ancient Roman city Trier or to relax in the Aquapark Moselbad. In short: a special location for a vacation or a short stay for young and old! We hope to welcome you soon as our guest at B&B COCHEM. ... more   less
