The Forellenhof is situated in the middle if nowhere. The surroundings are very quiet. The interior looks most like an Austrian hotel. Lots of wood and warmth. I had a single room which was relatively small but comfortable. Wifi was fast and reliable. Temperature in the room was fully controllable with a window that can be opened. The bathroom was... More

Wonderful food, quaint rooms, and a fantastic outdoor dining atmosphere. I was sitting outside drinking a beer after a long day of seminars, and a young man that worked at the bar came out and offered me a pillow to sit on and a blanket to wrap around myself. As it's October, and a bit chilly, I really appreciated the... More

The personnel were very helpful and pleasant. We were able to eat outside admiring the surroundings and enjoying traditional food. Our room was situated in the annex which was quaint but comfortable and clean. Our dog really enjoyed the surrounding countryside as did we. The big plus was that it has it's own brewery founded in 2000.

The Forellenhof is a very good and nice hotel, very cosy. Our whole family spent the Christmas holidays there - with the Christmas package the hotel offered - and enjoyed everything. After having read the reviews on Tripadvisor, we had asked for rooms in the main building and were promised them upon booking and were also pleased with them. The... More

Looks gordious when arriwing the Hotel. But staying in the main building cost a fortune. We stayed in the annex, that was less expensive and also was not same comfort, but good enough for a day or two. The best was actually that we parked just outside our rooms and could easily walk over to restaurant.

We have stayed at 2 different holiday flats rented by this hotel when visting family in the neighbourhood and the apartments have both been clean and well serviced and it is easy to make the arrangements beforehand. the hotel restaurant is also good, if a little pricy, with welcoming staff and well-cooked German food, including seasonal specialities such as the... A nice Hotel, more rustic than modern style. Small but nice rooms. Service at the restaurant and reception is OK. Food at the restaurant is very good but too expensive. Dishes are (too) huge. Considering the price segment my overall rating is only average.

“We followed the qdvice on Tripadvisor and asked for rooms in the main building. They are bety nice and a good size and very practical for the meals since you do not have to leave the building.”
