We stayed there for 1 night. The one that spoke english was not nice to us at all. We asked the staff in the restaurant about dinner and they told us that they served until eight in the evening, we relaxed outside with a beer. The lady asked us if we wanted more to drink and we said that we were gooing to dinner. She said that this was not possible because they had a large group there for dinner (about 60 people). We was so suprised. I tried to ask her again because we saw that other people was having dinner. She was so impolite and rude to us. She told us to go somewhere else for dinner. She did not apologize either. The next day we were going for breakfast that was already prepaid. They did not prepare a table for us as they did for the other guest with our name tag and could not find us in the list. They did not give us any service. It is an old hotel and quite expensive. They have a swimming pool, bowling, gym but its old. I’m however horrified by the way we were treated there. I feel that us ‘tourists’ was not important for them. I’m never ever going back there!!! Not in hell!

Our room was pleasant with a good outlook from the deck to the mountains. We were welcomed most warmly by Olga, and her husband George helped get our motorcycle under cover as a big storm was predicted overnight. Dinner on the outside patio looking over the fields & church was delicious. Breakfast was done really well also. We would recommend this stop to anyone and hope to return next year.

The hotel as such is very good, the service is excellent, the staff is very friendly, but the rooms are, honestly speaking, not all that great... My room was clean, but that's about it... it just feels old and needs a new touch. The carpet and the furniture looked just gray (old) and the bed wasn't good... I stayed over for two nights and I don't think I really slept well, since the mattress was not very comfortable (I could feel the springs)... The restaurant is really good though and I tried out the local stuff (e.g. the Kaesespaetzle or Weissheusüppchen)...there is enough choice for the vegetarians as well. Breakfast is also quite good with all the usual options... I hesitate to recommend it wholeheartedly, just because I know how important rest is after a day of hiking or sightseeing... if only they would fix the rooms...
