Stayed here 4th of July week. Had a room across the street from the restaurant and next to the local bar. Room was in the back so it was nice and quiet, except for July 4 when other Americans apparently had been celebrating a little too much and decided to sing in the street. The room was fabulously clean with...

Despite some trepidation after having read the warnings in Tripadvisor, I booked 4 nights at the Hotel am Schloss because it looked so quaint and picturesque. The room itself was spacious, clean, quaint, and comfortable, although like most German hotels, it had awful pillows and mattresses that weren't exactly on an American level of comfort. About the noise mentioned in...

This hotel was booked last minute and it was a great room. Unfortunately our room was right across the street from a bar that was open until the wee hours, so we ended up switching hotels after a night. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were rather larger for what we figured and the bathroom was very clean. If...

Tübingen is a delightful small town; but no-one warns you that it is very hilly indeed and all the hills are cobbled. The hotel (the map provided on their website is nearly useless when you have never been there before and are driving a hired car from Stuttgart airport) is located up a very steep hill, very narrow, and cobbled....

Tubingen is a pretty town, which is well worth a visit. We used it as a base for a visit to Stuttgart, to avoid the big city. Hotel Am Schloss was down a very narrow street in the old town by the castle. Great location. Room and bathroom simple, clean and tidy. Had to lug suitcases up a few flights...

All the things written by previous reviewers are correct, the rooms are clean, nicely decorated and even romantic. We got a room in one of their additional buildings approx. 100 m downhill, facing the street. Unfortunately the windows were not sound-proof, so we heared every car passing by on the cobbled street, and worst of all was the noise made...

Excellent location in the middle of Tuebingen's beautiful old town. Great little place, nice rooms, and a great breakfast the next morning. Good prices for the rooms and location, as well.

In early September, 2005, my son and daughter, with their spouses, spent two lovely weeks driving through the Netherlands, Belgium and southwestern Germany. There is a special place in my heart for the beautiful city of Tubingen. It is not only a place of unsurpassed beauty, but several years ago I discovered a family of distant cousins who have lived...

Beautiful hotel with an amazing view over Tubingen. The views from my bedroom window looked right onto the Schloss (the old castle in Tubingen) on one side and over the town on the other. This hotel is not for the faint hearted or those with lots of luggage and no transport as the hill up to it is VERY steep...
