Wonderful rooms. Quiet, clean, and comfortable. Bed was great as was the selection of pillows. Great shower. The staff was friendly and professional. So why did I rate it average? This hotel is a fair distance from restaurants. If you don’t have a car(which we didn’t) the only choice is the hotel restaurant. Here is my big complaint: both nights of our stay the hotel bar and restaurant were not available for guests. They had booked private parties. Since there is no room service, the first night we had to find a taxi. The second night we found the situation too late and just did without. We were never informed of the situation when we booked the rooms. This is inexcusable, the first time I’ve encountered this inconvenience. Had we known, we probably would have stayed elsewhere. Beware!…
Had a business meeting here. The hotel is clean, comfortable and modern. My only disappointment were the pillows on the bed - too soft for my taste. This hotel is Part of the Ernst Leitz Park and one has to admire the architecture.
Modern and stylish hotel. Clean and modern look, minimalistic with a hint of Ikea - in a good way. Breakfast was very good and staff very friendly. I had a slight problem with my laundry but the front desk sorted it out for me. It’s the sign of a good hotel when they sort out problems efficiently.
The surroundings and the hotel design are super modern, clean and exceptional. Located at the edge of the city in a new business park, not a typical tourist location. Staff were super helpful and welcoming. We got a superior room which was perfect- divided into 2 rooms, everything new and clean, and we even got a small hidden kitchen. Breakfast was great. A very nice coffee house opposite to the hotel, for anything else you'll need a car. An outstanding hotel
This modern hotel situated in the Leitz science park - dedicated to the photographic industry and Leica - is incredible. The staff throughout are friendly and efficient while the quality and value of the food and drink is amazing. The rooms are modern and super comfortable and also good value. I hosted a two day team meeting here and nothing was too much trouble for the events team who provided everything we needed. Only shame is I was too busy to leave the hotel over the three days I stayed and see the reportedly lovely medieval town of Wetzlar - maybe next time!
We stayed here in July 2018 soon after the official opening, and it was the perfect location for visiting/touring Leitz Park. The rooms were very clean and the entire hotel has a photographic theme, naturally enough. Please note that it is a quick taxi ride into the town centre of Wetzlar, also a beautiful place to visit.
Arcona Living Ernst Leitz Hotel Wetzlar Nice hotel 676400944 Good service Good food Very clean and modern Beds are hard though No double beds as they are all twin pushed together and the twins are standard single beds Add 200 characters...really !!!!! Shame on you Trip Adviser. I have nothing else to say and you now won’t post my review because you’re being petty!!
I stayed here 4 nights for a business trip. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious, clean, and quite. The restaurant had good meals but a limited menu. If you want to stock up on wine, this is a good chance. Plenty of good wines at fair bottle prices. Not the usual high mark up. The only reasons I did not give it a 5 was the parking was a bit limited. Also, the hotel is away from the old town.....albeit about 10 minutes away by car. I will definitely stay here again. Keep an eye on their website for rate specials.
We've stayed in Wetzlar several times before and have always stayed in the old town. With the intention of visiting Leica and this new hotel having opened we thought we'd give it a try. Obviously, it is new, everything is clean and sharp. But we liked it. our room was plenty big enough and overlooked Leica. The bathroom was big and clean. Best of all, with outside temperatures reaching 35 deg, it had air con. A definite plus. It's quite a big hike, but not an unpleasant one down the hill into town for supper, catching a bus back was easy. The next morning, breakfast was very good. This is obviously a hotel aimed at the business fraternity. Basically, it is in the middle of an industrial estate. There is nowhere else in the immediate area to eat or drink. It isn't really a tourist place, but if you need a break whilst aiming down through Germany and have an interest in photography, then this hotel really isn't a bad place to spend the night.…
I stayed here 1 night for business. Good hotel with modern rooms and comfortable beds. Good working airconditioning in the room. Nice dinner. Location is close to the 45. Good parking facilities outside and paid parking spaces inside.
