Now this is a fantastic hotel. Beautiful building, fantastic restaurant, excellent bars, huge rooms and most of all friendly and helpful staff. Really enjoyed my stay here and definitely want to go back.

Our second stay at this hotel. The pros: Great selection of things to do: bowling alley in the basement next to the bar, billiards, mini golf and kids playground outside, outside pool, inside pool and sauna. Very kid friendly. Local food specialities. Excellent breakfast spread. The cons: Quite impersonal and slow service. Our minibar did not get replenished once in... More

This hotel is quite deceiving from the road it looks like a quaint little german hotel but get inside and explore and its like the Tardis from Dr Who - you keep discovering massive spaces and bars, gym, pool, restaurants even a bowling alley. Very friendly staff and great restaurant - don't miss breakfast.

Three days on business in this excellent hotel. Staff very friendly, food was good with a great menu including a number of traditional German dishes. Room was good with an excellent shower. There are indoor and outdoor pools and sauna. Nice bars (with kegelbahn) and a good restaurant. It'd be good to visit when not working. Rack rate is not... More

Boy, what a surprise! My office booked me a hotel and I didn't know at all what to expect. So I was really surprised about this great place! Friendly welcome and staff, warm atmosphere, excellent breakfast, nice, clean room and not to forget a superb spa/wellness area! And the distance to downtown is just 10 minutes and to the fairground... More

I travel often to Friedrichshafen and after testing several other hotels in the area I settled down for this one as my preferred hotel. At the breakfast buffet it has a large variety of food. The opening hours in the morning are 06:30, but sometimes at this hour not all dishes are ready (probably the staff arrives around the same... More

My single room has little bit small bed /finished by wall, what can be problem for taller persons over 195 cm ), but hotel has sure bigger rooms. This is a great hotel to base yourself in for a few days if you want to visit the friedrichshafen area. It is excellent for both business and private guests. Rooms were excellent with balcony etc, the spa was nice and breakfast was extensive. We used the restaurant which was of a good standard and reasonable value.

A very cozy and nice hotel with all this passages between the different houses. Good restaurant and bars and very friendly personal. Nice spa area with good sauna and both swimming and whirlpools. The rooms were quite big with clean bathroom. I had no balcony but I would probably choose that if I return.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. I stayed in a single room, it was a bit small but ok. TV did not have any foreign language chanels. So only way to learn about the news was internet. Although WiFi is free in the hotel, the reception was very poor in my room (102). I had to use internet in the... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Wonderful holidays begin here with church bells ringing, a hint of green meadows and the mild glow that is so typical of Lake Constance. The delicate scent of freshly baked bread is in the air. And there is always a sense of undreamt of lightness. Go to the sauna or go cycling, continue dozing or go for a hike, stroll or sunbathe? Good question – what do you want to do first?Among spa guests, the Krone Schnetzenhausen in the lovely Lake Constance hinterland is an insider tip. Where else can you find a Mediterranean pool area and sauna, solarium, steam bath and whirlpool, spacious spa areas, OASIS SUN SPA and a hairdresser, the hotel’s own covered tennis courts, a fitness centre, indoor and outdoor swimming pools with a sunbathing lawn, mini golf and bicycles for hire, bowling alley and billiards in such a splendid garden area and within a hotel? ... more   less
