As the Pandemic made international travel difficult, my friends and I identified Tanzania as one of the few countries that we could all visit without having to quarantine. I found Altezza at the beginning of January and knew that we didn't have much time to plan our trip with our desired start date of February 6th. Altezza owns and operates Aishi Machame Hotel, which provided a lovely start to our Kili adventure.

Altezza picked us up at Kilimanjaro International Airport and Joseph drove us to the Aishi Machame Hotel in a car with WIFI. He spoke perfect English and helped explain the region to us. Despite arriving around 8pm, Julia and Tony, greeted us at the Hotel, showed us to our room, helped us get dinner, and did a thorough equipment check with us. Tony's equipment recommendations were really helpful and ensured that we were setup for success on the mountain.

The Aishi Machame Hotel is delightful and accents the Africa experience while offering great accommodations. My friends and I stayed in a three-person room and I was very impressed with the room, shower pressure, hot water, and linens. The restaurant features a three course menu with a couple of options for each course. The food was delicious! Finally, the grounds of the hotel are beautiful and we saw several monkeys, which was fun.

Altezza climbs includes lodging, breakfast, and transportation back to the airport too!

Julia and Alex were the perfect hosts in a magnificent setting that offers everything a traveller needs at excellent prices. This hotel is perfect as a base for those who aspire to hike Mt. Kilimanjaro or those who want to explore the beauty that is Tanzania.

The Aishi Machame Hotel was a great accommodation to stay prior to the start of our Kilimanjaro trek. They had clean and comfortable rooms and a delicious breakfast buffet (included in hotel stay) with beautiful rain forest views and lots of variety in the food options. We were looking forward to getting back to the comfort of our hotel room and shower after our Kilimanjaro trek. Dinner was delicious and affordable as well. They did a great job of organizing our Kilimanjaro Trek and I would highly recommend this hotel.

I used this hotel for overnight stays pre and post Kilimanjaro trek. The hotel is set in well maintained gardens (blue monkeys leaping in the trees), and it has a swimming pool. My rooms (different room before and after trek) were clean, light, and of a generous size. Lots of hot water in the shower and lovely scented shower / hair wash products provided. Meals were served buffet style, and everything I tried was tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The place is clean and basic. Food is bad and expansive. Laundry service is a rip-off and the staff in charge of the laundry service was extremely rude. He insisted to go into my friends' room (both female) to "check on" their dirty clothes!!

Usually, I don't leave reviews or feedback, but this hotel impressed me with the high quality of service at a reasonable price! The staff was friendly and very nice. They answered all my questions and helped me with every request. The room was cozy and clean. I had a good rest. This is an excellent option for those who'd like to spend time in comfort but don't want to overpay for necessary services.
Also, I'd like to highlight the delicious breakfasts. The food quality and taste were excellent! I liked it very much.

SLOW food service and a mosquito net for a single bed over a double bed (my rating = 0), means I can’t recommend this lovely place (garden setting). It’s clean, staff is friendly. But we couldn’t get under or stay under the mosquito net, and the prix fixe lunch (our only choice) took over 2 hours to arrive. (WHY? There were only a few items to choose from and most items were cold.)

Some mates from my climbing group said Aishi would be perfect if it were closer to city life, at least to have a look around the market or souvenir shops. It might be an important point for someone, but to me Aishi was perfect from beginning to end. I took a couple of extra days on top of those included in the climbing package, and it felt like I went on some sort of a tropical retreat. The place was a great emotional rest after the pre-holiday hustle at work, and at a very reasonable price (compared to what was on sale in Moshi and Arusha at the time). Absolutely loved my time here, will keep it in my memory for years to come.

Aishi Machame is always a perfect choice for both a vacation and a business trip to Tanzania alike. I am often staying there on my visits. Not only is it located in a green, tranquil neighbourhood, but also here one will always find everything for a good rest: nice staff, good restaurant and swimming pool. Also, in the morning one may see monkeys from the restaurant terrace.

I have been to many places in Moshi and Kilimanjaro at large, and Aishi certainly has one of the best internet providers. It is reliable and reasonably fast.

Kudos to the people of Aishi - the staff here is always smiling, friendly and helpful. I will certainly stop by Aishi on my next adventure in Tanzania!

We used this hotel as part of a Mount Meru trek with the excellent Altezza company. It is located in beautiful lush grounds, with plenty of wildlife to enjoy. The rooms are currently being modernised and the new ones are of a particularly high standard. Food (mainly buffet) is also very good and wholesome (excellent for preparing mountain trips). Staff are very accommodating and friendly.
