Sunday afternoon tea to celebrate a birthday. The hotel is like an old stately home, very nice, although could do with a little updating. The afternoon tea was excellent, the food was lovely and there was more than enough for everyone. Great value for money. The service was excellent from Neil, and it was probably the best service I have...

I’ve wanted to stay at this hotel for many years, since my company used it for team meetings and conferences, so I was delighted to stay here for one night to attend a wedding. We had taken advantage of discounted rate for wedding guests and had upgraded from a standard room to Deluxe room. Check in was very efficient and...

Dear Lionwalker, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay. I am pleased that you found the team to be very pleasant in all areas and the food to be of a good quality. It is disappointing that your experience of the Deluxe bedroom was not as expected and you felt that this has been falsely advertised....

A beautiful old hotel in lovely grounds. Within walking distance of Beamish museum and with lovely walks around the area. They do breakfast in bed for a small supplement but the Eden restaurant is also a nice spot for breakfast with lovely views. Friendly and helpful staff but unobtrusive. Rooms clean and well equippedand maintained throughout the stay. The Stables...

We were visiting Beamish museum and decided to book Beamish Hall as it is less than a mile away, ideal for an early start. On checking in, receptionist was very helpful and friendly giving lots of useful advice etc. Bedroom was very warm and comfortable, plenty of tea/coffee, modern bathroom, nice toiletries. Had dinner in the Stables bar/restaurant which was...

Stayed here for the winter festival. Excellent day/evening. Staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Our room was lovely. Like stepping back in time. A beautiful building. Breakfast was excellent. Could not fault anything about our stay. Thank you to all the staff. Especially Front of house who were great dealing with my requests

Rude reception staff, tiny room with a bed that was made for the borrowers! Extremely dated I understand it's an old hall so this is there style but carpets warn! Really over priced for what it was I wouldn't stay again! The only good thing was a guy working behind the bar on the stables he was brilliant and so...

Was lucky enough to win this stay in a competition so bed, breakfast and entry to the festival was free. Festival was great, with over 50 craft ales, ciders and gins. Bands were also great with a fantastic atmosphere. Bedroom was really nice with large bathroom. Only downside was the bed which had a bottom board so due to my...

Set on the edge of Beamish about 1 mile down a lane alongside Beamish Golf Course. Easy to find and plenty of free parking. Receptionist very friendly and the booking in process only took a couple of minutes. Hotel is an old country house so don't expect modern rooms. Plenty of character and tastefully decorated. My room (114) was small...
