We arrived at Al Poggetto at night and after a long trip. We were welcomed by Lucrezia who we later got to know as the lovely person who runs this Agriturismo with so much passion and dedication to make it perfect for the guests. The country house was built by Lucrezia's and Giulia's nonno as a holiday house for the family. It's surrounded by olive and fruit trees, and vineyards. The only sounds are the chirping birds and a gentle bark from some of the friendliest dogs. We loved taking a real rest, eating well for breakfast, lunch and dinner and thinking about nothing for it was all thought of and made ready! A real dolce far'niente. If it's during meals, Franco takes care of it, makes the kids smile and tries to speak in any of French, German, English and where he cannot find the word... his native Italian of course! If you love nature, take a walk around the hills. If you want to just relax by the pool, do a some laps and eat watermelon... you're in the right place. And then it's so close to Monreale you can just take a short trip there just to see the Duomo and eat a pizza! And if you're with kids Al Poggetto is safe and a little adventure they'll talk about for ever. We are missing it already.

Lucretia and her family make this place a delight. Extremely helpful and caring and the food is out of this world. Franco, the amanuensis of first class calibre, made life also very easy and pleasant. The serenity and relaxed life style makes one unwind and get in touch with nature. The dogs are very happy to see you every time and the horses happily eat the carrots bought in the local store. I recommend this place highly and if you want information, of all kind, Lucretia's dad is the one to go to. He also, very, very kindly took me to a soap/perfume factory I never would have found by myself. The olive oil and salsa I bought there, home made, are fantastic and I am very thankful that Lucretia is willing to ship this to me. Karin Williamson

Al Poggetto is really charming. It's located in the real Sicilian countryside, with all his flavours and colours. The staff let you feel very welcome, by a natural sense of hospitality. Lucrezia is really a caring person. The food is really genuine and tasty, with most of local ingredients, and done like you were home. I really recommend to stay Al Poggetto, it's worth it :)

We arrived very late our first night due to a flight delay and they were very accommodating to us - and we very much appreciated it. It's a little tricky to get to the hotel which is about an hour from the airport but we made it with the help of the Maps App on my iPhone. (If you go to Sicily, get a good road map before you go). The suites were spacious and affordable. Rooms were clean and the service were very good. English is spoken by the owner and his daughter but it is easy to make yourself understood to the rest of the staff who are very kind and helpful. We stayed 5 nights and ate all breakfasts there and 2 dinners. Breakfasts are very nice and the dinners are 4 courses and excellent. We were there at the very end of their season but it didn't matter - they didn't slack on anything. They set us up for dinner in town and a wonderful private tour of a winery just down the road. If you like staying at a country inn, this is the perfect place.

At Al Poggetto everything detail has been considered. The rooms are traditional and ours looked our on the olives. The facilities are lovely with a cool pool for an afternoon dip when it is too hot to be out and about. The restaurant was a gem - you must have supper (at 8pm sharp), and make sure you are hungry! We really enjoyed our stay here - would come back in a heart beat

We especially liked: - room with all necessary comfort (airco), - the quite surroundings, views, - swimming pool, - the horses, dogs, cats and other animals, - the attention of Franco and the Italian cook and owners, - home made and regional products. Improvements could be: - quality of some breakfast products, - price/quality of the dinners, - updating of the bed rooms. - on the WiFi network. In all, we enjoyed our stay!

We have been there for few days, and this was very relaxing days. The landscape is beautiful and the atmosphere is excellent. The family "Al Poggetto" were very receptive. The typical Sicily culinary was awesome.

We have stayed at Al Poggetto several times, and we will continue to return. The friendliness, the hospitality, the gentle talk they have with their guests is all coming from their hearts. They show a genuine interest for their clients’ wellbeing. They stop and listen to what you want to say, e.g. about where you have been during the day and what experiences you have had. They don’t ask you just for asking and then hurry away before you’re finished! You feel appreciated as a guest, they make you feel at home. The free Wifi was working all the time as well! The organic food is excellent, you really have to be hungry to finish all the dishes at dinner. They know which good wines to recommend to the meals as well! And we must not forget to mention the lovely breakfast out on the patio! The rooms are clean and comfortable. The whole house with its patios and garden say welcome and enjoy yourself! There are horses at Al Poggetto, there are bikes so you can go for a ride or just relax in the swimmingpool. They have now installed a small jacuzzi and hamas (steam sauna) plus a rest room in connection with it. Really relaxing. If you don’t know where to go or what sights to visit in the neighbourhood, it is just to ask them what they recommend. A GPS is strongly recommended!

Al Pogetto is a wonderful agriturismo. It is a beautiful country inn, everything you would want: many confortable outdoor patios, an outdoor terrace dining area also used for a deliicious daily breakfast. It is covered in greenery and grapvines.Inside and out it has gracious features. The cool mountain air is a welcome respite from the hot sicily summer days. The host family is cordial, most helpful and friendly. It boasts a gorgeous swimming pool and pristine gardens, fruit orchards and the most amazing views. Twenty minutes from Palermo, you can go on the local roads, passing the tiny towns of Santa Cristina Gela, and Piana de la Albanese...well worth visiting too for their cultural features.. You need to rent a car, but it is an advantage since you learn the countryside life.We went as a family for three weeks. A large family room accomodated my daughters family with two children. Go to this country paradise
