We had a brief stay here and the innkeeper couldn't have been more hospitable or kinder. The common rooms looked very nice, though our stay was so brief we didn't have time to enjoy them. Our room faced the street. It was a nice size, but the lighting left a bit to be desired. The overhead fan (which needs tightening,...

We enjoyed our stay on I'lle-d'Orleans at Le Canard Huppe. We enjoyed the breakfasts, though were chastised for asking for a decaf tea apparently only offered at dinner - because it's more expensive. The waffle with proscuitto, poached egg and maple sauce was delicious. We also enjoyed the common "living room", which was cozy and had a large screen TV,...

Our son's girlfriend arranged for the 4 of us to go for a night's stay on l'Ile-d'Orleans 15 minutes outside of Quebec City. The day touring the island was fun. We sampled wines, beers and chocolates all over the island. The owner of Le Canard Huppe greeted us and took us to our rooms. They were perfect and neat. The...

I am ashamed to admit that, as often as I have used Trip Advisor in the past, I have never written a review! But I must say that our experience at Le Canard Huppé was perfect. We stayed one night, in 2 impeccably clean rooms with comfy beds and small windows overlooking the garden. We dined in the evening and...

Milles merci. After a wonderful day touring l'Ile d'Orleans with all it's cachet, we were welcomed by our wonderful host and chef, Philippe Rae. Cocktails on the terrace meeting interesting people followed by an exceptional gourmet dinner. Philippe, Maggie and daughters are charming and have a beautiful, well decorated and inviting Auberge. The service was first class, the room was...

The highlight of the stay was definitely the breakfast, which was very delicious. There were five breakfast choices and over the two mornings we sample quite a few of them finding them all very tasty (for example, eggs benedict, omelette, French toast). My husbands only complaint was that there wasn't enough extra bread to go with the meal. As for...

We stayed at le Canard Huppe on our recent trip to Quebec City and touring along the St. Lawrence River. It was one of our best memories. While the Inn is a short distance out of town, the i'le d'orleans is small and easily accessible everywhere. We found our room to be charming, with character, comfort and very clean. The...

What a FANTASTIC experience staying at Le Canard Huppe on Ile d"Orleans. Our purpose for visiting the island was to trace my families ancestry and staying at Le Canard Huppe made it even more special. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the Chef and Owner Philip Rae. Our room was cosy, warm and very inviting especially after a day...
