We have stayed in this hotel on two previous occasions. There is an excellent restaurant and our room, although small, was well equipped and maintained with a balcony and a recently refitted shower room of a good size, The town seemed quiet but it is a good location for visiting the Ardeche Gorge and travelling futher south.

After dark, on a cool, rainy night, regrettably without a reservation anywhere in the region, we spotted an advertising sign for "Hotel Helvie," and sought direction. Up until that point the very few hotels we could find that had rooms available were unimaginative and dingy. Then we entered Hotel Helvie. At the desk we were met by Edouard (if we...

This truly is a lovely French provincial hotel, charming, rustic and bursting with character. Hotel manager Edward runs a very professional team who are all very helpful and as a bonus for us most speak very good english. The breakfast run by Joanna in the morning is truly one of the best french hotel breakfasts we have ever had ,...

After visiting Six hotels in Vals les Bains we were happy that this hotel finally looked perfect. They gave us a very good reduction. The room was small but very nice, the bathroom beautiful and practical. The breakfast had a lot of good quality items which we enjoyed. And last but not least there was free safe parking on the...

We were looking for a hotel near Aubenas and found this one, we had expected a one horse town but were really surprised to find a brilliant small town with thermals springs. The hotel is well situated within to town and close to all the sights. It has a small pool which is great after a long journey. The rooms...

On checking-in we were given a free room upgrade which was lovely, especially as the bedroom & bathroom were both very spacious and well appointed. The only downside was that the room was on the front of the hotel and from early morning there was noise from the traffic outside. However this did not spoil our stay, overall we enjoyed...

Hotel helvie is a pleasant hotel. Good service excellent breakfast, free wifi and free parking. Central location. Tries to be slightly grander than it is. Resturant v. expensive but many better value places nearby esp L'addrese. Not a bargin but you wont regret choice. Note rooms are european size and many just have shower.

We absolutely loved this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Manager helped us find accommodation in another city. We had the best meal we have had in France here. Silver service and lovely food. Totally recommend this hotel and the little town is beautiful with fantastic thermal pools. Definitely worth going to.

Hotel d'Helvie is a charming hotel with a most friendly and helpful staff. The room we had for 140 euro (without breakfast) was spacious and well equipped but the beds were uncomfortably hard so we did not get much sleep. Breakfast was utter chaos, we had to ask for almost everything as we came in after a large group, but...

This was one of the hotels that was suggested for a wedding we were attending in Aubenas France. It was delightful!!! A beautiful hotel in a town that was at its peak 100 years ago - a spa town. Our room was compact but charming with a tiny closet, mini-mini bar, safe, etc. The bathroom was quite modern. We were...
