We are really delighted to read your good feedback, we are happy to read that you enjoyed your stay at Altapura in a cool modern vibe!
We are looking forward to welcoming back at Altapura,
Stayed for one night only whilst spending a week in Val Thorens and really enjoyed the hotel. The ski in/out location is absolutely perfect and it's also an easy walk into the town center. Room was nice and spacious, maybe a little old looking but...More
Another amazing stay at the Altapura. First trip with our baby daughter but couldn’t have been made more welcome. Lovely babysitter (Marlene). The restaurant made lovely food for our daughter every night and she LOVED her porridge each morning. Skiing was ok but very windy...More
Our visit to Altapura in April was at the end of the ski season. Expecting some compromise for a luxury hotel at altitude, we were delighted to see that it anything, the hotel tried harder and was better than many at ground level.
As someone who is always looking for things to criticise, I struggle when it comes to the Altapura hotel. I cannot fault it.
We are first time skiers and couldn't be more impressed by our experience. The team here is incredible and unfortunately I am...More

We’ve used Cool Runnings for 4 years in a row - they’re excellent. Good drivers (all Brits so far for us), good vehicles with plenty of space for luggage and skis/boards, on time. Well, mostly: in 2017 sudden snowfall and a few crashes on the road to VT meant we missed our train home, but that wasn’t our driver’s fault - he did his best to take a detour (Eurostar were great, btw and hooked us up with a TGV to Paris for little extra cost).
Our run has always been from Moutiers for the Eurostar Ski train, but they also do airport transfers. Tripadvisor blocks postings that include urls for companies, but just search for ‘Cool Runnings val thorens transfers’ and you’ll find them easily.
