The Hotel Mas de la Fouque is located about 5 minutes from the centre of Saintes Maries de la Mer and offers an excellent base to explore the wonderful Camargue. We enjoyed three nights in the countryside with very few hotel guests. The Mejanes suite offers enough space for three people and is equipped with tea and coffee making facilities. We often used the large swimming pool, the free tennis court or the table football. The hotel spa is beautifully integrated into the natural surroundings. The staff is very friendly and helps with reservations for restaurants or horseback riding. The breakfast selection is good. The only drawback was the 3-course menu on the day of arrival, a choice of at least two dishes per course would be desirable for the relatively high price.
A stunning relaxing retreat, far from the madding crowd, perfect for resourcing and recharging and relaxing. The location, the luxuriant vegetation, the wildlife all add up to offer a stay in rustic simplicity which was beyond enjoyable
Location is nicely located. Accommodation is good but a bit run down. However, we think that everything is considerably overpriced for what you get. In our case we had an issue with the bill at the check out which was handled very unprofessionally and we had to dispute about ~3% of the total amount of the bill for more than 30 minutes until they reluctantly corrected the amount.
This was a wonderful choice for our visit to the Camargue. It's close enough to town to have quick access to restaurants, shops and beaches, and an easy jumping off point for Aigues Morte or Arles; however, it's beautifully isolated in the natural beauty of the region. We stayed in one of their gypsy caravans, right on the edge of the water, and woke up to our own "private ducks" swimming to our front door. The caravan is small, and for older folks like us climbing into and out of the bed can be a challenge, but it's one well worth taking. The caravan was unique and charming, but so well appointed - the clawfoot bathtub was a wonderful relaxation after a morning run. The staff could not be more welcoming or informative. We wish we'd had more time to use the spa and the pool - next time!…
a magnificent place: nature, luxurious, charming. we had the chance to enjoy the SPA with a jacuzzi in front of a pond at sunset and a duo massage with Charlotte and Caroline, just perfect, thank you 🙏
I recommend this place , the place to be In Camargue Awesome Place to go You can enjoying with your / Family / Frienfs / relationship / for business meetings really nice place Very Clean / awesome food / everything was great for the moments we was there The team are great / the Gypsy are great as well Thank you for everything See you soon
We had a great stay at Mas de la Fouque and would definitely want to come back! the hotel, the location and the room were beautiful, and the decoration is so pretty. The pool is also great. We would definitely recommend it to couples, solo visitors for a relaxing and beautiful stay!
Our room was very nice and comfortable but next to a running compressor for the spa working 24 hours. The food is good. The rest of the hotel is nice but not comfortable and the dinning room like a bistro is with steel seats and poor cleaning and kids playing baby foot during dinner in the same room. The swimming pool is ok, just be careful of the ducks swimming in it.. The hotel is 4 km away from the beach and the route to go is dangerous
We stayed 2 nights and loved our warm welcome from the team. Location is spectacular, service was perfect, room gave us privacy and a total relaxed setting. We will be back! Thank you for welcoming us with open arms. Love the Saintes Maries de la Mer. Full of energy and love.
The plain white box of a room didn't at all resemble the much nicer and more modern website pictures. Upside is it did feel spacious. Advertised as having wifi everywhere, but there was none in our room. Understand it might be due to remoteness of location, but then just say so on the website. Staff said they would try to move us on the 2nd night, but never got back in touch during the whole stay. The bed was large but had a 'valley' in it, clearly time for new mattresses. You are meant to fill in a form with your breakfast choices, which does get collected from your door, but then noone knows of it at breakfast and you have to repeat your order. If you put a process in place then please follow it. Some concerns about Covid safety. Not all staff wear their face coverings when serving at breakfast. Strong odour in places - not sure if it is sewage or natural smells from the surrounding marsh land. Service in general is very slow and lacklustre. (Coffee order can take 30 mins, if it arrives at all). At checkout there was an error on the bill - no apologies, no asking how our stay was. Best part is the pool, nice and warm, my daughter was in it all day. It's never nice when expectations are not met. We paid a bit over €400/night which feels overpriced given the quality of the facilities and the service. Disappointed to have received such poor value. I hope management don't blame Covid. We stayed in many other hotels in France on this trip which were all fine. …
