For my one night stay this hotel was great, being near the rail station and bus station. My room overlooked the front garden and was well equipped and neat, clean and functional. It was excellent value compared to other similar establishments I stayed in. By 8 pm the traffic has completely whittled away, so no car traffic noise. Only drawback was...

We used this hotel as a base for a walking tour of the wonderful Andy Goldsworthy artworks. The beds and immaculately kept bathroom were exemplary and most welcome after hiking days. Anne the owner provided local intelligence including the best restaurant tips and generously allowed us to stow our gear and change a booking. Highly recommended. .

We were driving in the direction of Cannes, it was pretty late and we decided to spend the night in this town. This is the first hotel that we saw as it is located near the road. The woman at the reception desk was very friendly, she spoke English, gave us a room and helped with advice where to go...

We came to this city late hoping to find a place to stay. And we are lucky again. Place was located close to center not far away from from restaurants and other attractions . Place has a history during World War 2 . Housing French Resistance. Friendly lady told us about local food we can get in late hours. Internet...

Okay, we planned the journey by what we thought was the shortest route, a straight line right? This was the first and only hotel we checked in at, being tired from the journey through the Alps from Cannes, stopping in Castellane for coffee on the way. So, a long lingering soak in a big bath was most welcomed - A...

We spent two nights in this hotel and were not very happy. The hotel is at best shabby chic, at worst just shabby! There is no air on and you can choose to keep the windows open and hear noisy traffic all night or close the windows, which do keep the noise out, but make the room boiling. There is...

Easy to find, close to the centre and this family-run establishment serves a magnificent breakfast. This stay was arranged by friends who live locally. The rooms are very comfortable. We were a party of five using 3 rooms and the hotel had no problem accommodating ourselves and our four friends for breakfast. Digne is a lovely "working" town, enough off...

When we couldn't find the chambre d'hote we had booked, we found ourselves looking for a place to stay -- late in the evening and in the rain! My wife pulled the car into this place when I saw the sign and she saw it had off-street parking! (Like another reviewer, we were not allowed to see the room, but...

Looking for a hotel after a long journey delayed by traffic we found this hotel as the owner was about to close. He said he had one family room which suited us but was 140 euros. Expensive and the reception was stained by and reeked of smoke so I asked to see the room. No!! was the response not pleasantly...
