Excellent stay, Friendly, clean, comfortable and lovely food. Very central with a lot of things to see and do within and hour of the hotel. Lovely walks along the beach, the near by island L'Oleron is diffidently worth a visit. Highly recommend. .

the accommodation was excellent a double room with sea view lovely and bright. the restaurant did not provide us with an English menu and as a result our dinner on the 1st night turned into a disaster my wife thought she had ordered a veal meat dish which she had but it turned out to be sweetbreads of veal and...

we had a good room with outside space. Excellent air conditioning, efficient and quiet. All staff very helpful. Breakfast was a little chaotic some days with too few staff to service the number of guests, keep coffee machines supplied, refill buffet items etc.

We arrived in the evening to find there are no buses in the evening, and there are no taxis full stop in the whole town, so should you arrive be train, be prepared for a good 30 minute yomp! However, once there, we were delighted by the location, right on the sea front. The hotel is well appointed, and has...

The mercure chatelaillion plage was a very comfortable hotel with a few quirks that we had been warned about when reading reviews. First however the very good bits: the restaurant was superb with great food if pricey £100 for a family eating the meal of the day x2 and kids meal x2 is London prices! A la carte would have...

Comfortable Mercure hotel. Excellent situation on the seafront for a short stay. Couple of minute walk to the beach. Hotel had a small pool and restaurant. Excellent breakfast and friendly, efficient staff. We stayed one night and it was ideal. Bedroom was fairly small but clean and comfortable as you would expect from Mercure. The hotel has a magnificent sea-view, and is located at about 2 km from the center. We had a big and modern room, but room cleaning was never done before 5pm. The drinks at the bar are over-priced, and also the price/quality ratio of the dinner at their restaurant is much too high. You can eat much better, and cheaper...
