An amazing experience, it was like dragging my bag into a national trust stately home for the night! A slightly jaded grand old gem that is great value for money and close to all the bars and shops of central Calais. So much nicer than the characterless box hotels that are close by. My only regret is that I did...

Hotel Meurice is a very nice hotel with lots of character. This is certainly not a new box room hotel. A very typical old style French Hotel with a very grand staircase. Our room was plenty big enough for two people and very warm on a cold night in Calais. We did not eat at the Hotel as we had...

What a lovely hotel.quite quirky not the most up to date rooms but old timey comfortable and clean. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The hotel is in prime position for a walk to the lovely town square where there are bars and lots of restaurants. Really liked our little trip great food great hotel.

My husband and I stayed one night as part of a last minute overnight trip to celebrate my birthday. It really is representative of a bygone era, I imagine in its time it was quite the grand hotel. The hotel has character, as do its staff, it is clean and comfortable and has all that you'd expect - the bar...

This is exactly what we required as family with small children. We arrived late after a long drive and instead of enduring the simplicity and monotone nature of IBIS or Holiday Inn, we were greeted with a Traditional French Hotel. They offer all the amenities required for a nights stay in a welcoming environment. The decor is quirky with a...

Once you enter the spacious lobby you're entering a bygone era with a sweeping staircase. There is a lift as well. The reception staff spoke differing standards of English, as you'd expect, but all those I encountered were pleasant. My first floor room was adequate for my needs with a comfortable bed, separate toilet and separate bathroom with a very...

We stayed at Hotel Meurice back in October for a last minute break and overall had a lovely experience. The lobby is absolutely beautiful, it feels like you've stepped back in time to an old French chateau. There was only one member of staff on duty at a time and they could have been more friendly, however this didn't impede...

Hotel is right in the centre of town, close to the Ferry terminal. Rooms are of a good size for France. Bar is intimate but very traditional. Easy walk to plenty of restaurants and bars. Breakfast was excellent. Plenty of choice and everything fresh and delicious. Place has a relaxed atmosphere. The staff all spoke English.

What a fantastic hotel centrally placed for the bars and restaurants of Calais. A very warm and friendly welcome from the delightful receptionist. The hotel is a treasure trove of period furniture and the rooms are spacious, spotless and comfortable. The landings and corridors are wide with stunning pictures and quirky furniture throughout. Apparently Queen Victoria stayed here. The cosy...
